What made you turn atheist or agnostic?

if you were a jw and are now an atheist or agnostic, what was the tipping point that made you turn to it?.

the reason i ask is i have noticed that many who leave the jw's seem to turn to atheism, versus still having some form of a faith.

have many of you given up on god first or have you had atheistic views first and then found atheism to be true.

The first question I ever had was at around twelve years old, "Who created God?"
Of course my zombie mother would simply explain that Jehovah was always there but we have difficulty with the concept of infinity, that's why it's hard for me to understand that he was always there. Even in my young brain it simply made no sense to me. Add to that global suffering, lack of evidence, no godly "miracles" to witness, People of the same religions killing each other, how life itself comtradicted everything taught in theology and the blatant lies, I decided at around thirteen that there was no loving god watching ove our planet and its inhabitants.
For a long time I still held on to the possibility of some sort of creator because I had not read much about evolution. What I had read and had been taught was either anti-evolution or as in the case of my teachers/lecturers, were skewed/biased views of Christians. Due to this misinformation I had no real understanding of of evolution. It was actually books recommended to me by Cofty which filled in the missing peices of the puzzle which caused me to accept evolution as solid science.
Since reading those books I'm now addicted to reading everything I can get my hands on about evolution and the many fields of science which support it and honestly, I've never read anything before which gave me such a sense of relief and fulfillment.

It's amusing that the DMV have allowed members of the church to wear colanders on their heads for photos. I wonder how many people have been married by their "orstrained" ministers thus far?

Wow that was like listening to my mom. Condescending, self-righteous bitch reveling in the power her cult has over her son. Hopefully he's able to break free, become a success and twenty years down the line when he's high on life his zombie mom will look back on her own miserable wasted life and gain some respect for him. Why is it that so many JW parents think that their kids will end up as criminals if they leave the bOrg? Such an incedible display of love and affection (NOT!) Yuck!

I love the idea of starting a Dead Pool for the GB.
They all look weak and unhealthy to me. Tight Pants Tony though IMO from a superficial standpoint, paints a picture of someone who does zero exercise - soft, doughy and I imagine extreme levels of bad cholesterol and triglycerides coarsimg through his veins. But it's Lett I'd like to see go first so no one will have to look at his ugly, alien, rubber face again. The man is repulsive.
