my worst fears were realized

im on my phone, so im really limited.

i came out to my family about my doubts and my sexuality.

shit hit the fan.

It's a general fallacy that family can be trusted and relied upon. Family are capable of burning you down just as fast and easily as a malicious stranger and so are "friends". I may sound callous and pessimistic, but the sad truth is the only person in life you should rely on is yourself. At least if you mess up you only have to account for your actions in front of a mirror.

Good to see you're optimistic and doing well on your own two feet and leading the life you chose by true free will. Keep going and keep positive, you owe it to yourself and no one else.

in many debates between believers and non believers (nb), the nb uses evolution as some sort of proof to support the non existence of god.. i agree that evolution is a fact, however i feel that evolution is proof of some sort of benevolent original cause.. if i were to create an a.i.

, i would program into it the ability to self-refactor and evolve.. i would also randomly inject viruses into the program (evil) where the a.i.

would be forced to stretch its current capabilities & modify it's operating functions in order to get through the random virus, and continue living.. with a steady flow of different viruses, the a.i.

For the sake of argument and beating one's head against the wall, I wish the world would agree to do away with the "theory of evolution" and simply refer to it as evolution, the same way we do not refer to gravity as the "theory of gravity" - thank goodness or we'd be arguing for the evidence of gravity too.

Long before whitey showed up In the North West of North America the LaKota and Cheyenne had been at war for years. Before whitey showed up in Africa the Zulus had already brought about the complete annihilation of an estimated seventy-six tribes. Fighting for land and resources is not a modern phenomenon.

it's amazing how the expression "the truth" has become such an ingrained term used by witnesses.. "we have 'the truth'".

"is he 'in the truth'?".

most here have found out so many facts about the organisation, and felt the effects of being "gut-punched" as we realised these facts.. so how do you feel about the expression "the truth" now?.

Perhaps you could put your efforts to derail his threads to better use by sharing your knowledge and teaching us something? I'm astounded as to why anyone would turn their nose up at a chance to learn something -anything- at the cost of nothing more than a few minutes of their time.

First of all apostates don't define themselves as apostates, religions do whenever these people break their rules. They are simply a group of people who amongst themselves even, often have many and vastly different views which themselves are prone to clashes in discourse. All of them have their connections with religion severed for their own personal ideas or conduct, not because they decided they had an urge to be part of a religiously labelled "apostate" collective.
