I Made the Literature Trolley Run Away Today - Twice

i popped into town this morning to buy an anniversary card for mrs cofty.

it is market day on a saturday and it's tourist season so the town was very busy.

here is a picture of the scene from a year ago... two cult carts were in their favourite place being guarded by none other than one of the elders who was on my judicial committee, his wife and another jw woman in her electric disability buggy.

these canadian kids for me are courageous and inspiring.

What really strikes me about these two is their relationship. They way they both seem to discuss and share thoughts as equals, truly inspirational how mature and even-keeled they are. I cant help but feel the tremendous respect they share for one another radiate from the screen. They have a quiet strength displayed with humility and a calm confidence that tells me this couple is truly special in a world that is prone to vitriol and unchecked disrespect.

How much damage has internet done against the The Watchtower Society ?

so, i wonder how many people lost the society on account of forums and web sites like this.

i have been recently reading in jw.org the following absurdities on their black and white world: .

do jehovahs witnesses have rules about dating?......christians who want to marry are commanded to choose only a fellow believer.

(1 corinthians 7:39) jehovahs witnesses view this command as referring not merely to a person who respects our beliefs but to one who shares and practices those beliefs as a baptized witness.

Rebel: Agreed on all points. I rarely watch movies anymore, let alone action thrillers, they all come across as clones of previous scripts dependant on CG special effects to make up for the lackluster scripts. I prefer good human drams and great dialogue but I'll choose a good documentary over any work of fiction any day.

Obviously there's no way for us to know for sure but it is fun to think about. I certainly don't expect the WBTS to collapse suddenly, rather I believe the internet over time is going to have an erosive effect if the Org doesn't do something about it's policies.

in the posts about the australian royal commission there have been several references to discussions on jw-archive.

i'd not heard of that site, so checked it out.

it seems to be used by many active jws - its tumblr style archive is full of pictures of jws doing their thing.

Watchtower sued for Racketeering in California

a little birdie informed me that a lawsuit against the watchtower bible & tract society, its legal department, and several individuals (perhaps lawyers in the legal department) has been filed in the superior court of the state of california, county of los angeles for, wait for it.... racketeering!.

that's right, folks, you heard it here first.

i have no other information, other than the case was stamped "aug 07 2015" and the docket number appears to be bc590675.

mr vincent toole, he gets 3 meals a day his accommodation, daily exercise & a degree to be a lawyer.

they are asking for kids ice-cream money so they can send their monkeys to uni to get them off child abuse cases, while telling the ones giving the money not to get a higher education.
