Every year in the spring time before the summer conventions The Big Mommy has to tell its thump suckin' kids how to tie their shoe strings... LOL... and always those same parallels: no a suit or tie nor a skirt or dress = worldliness = independent thinking = immorality = dirt = uncleanness etc...

1939 Booklet
by DakotaRed ini just received a box of old literature and in it is a booklet dated 1939 and written in a foreign language.
i have been unable to come up with what language or any translation of it from the translator sources i have, even though it looks norwegian to me.
it is titled "herredommet og freden.

You're right that the Second Adventism is a general term aplied to all those adventist groups in the 1800's (mainly in the US). That's why it is sometimes spoken about the Second Advent movement and the gentlemen Storrs, Wendell and Barbour were leaders in their small adventist sects from whom Russell got most of his ideas or biblical interpretations. So, in fact, he can be considered, if not a member, an advocate of adventist teachings. This explains the fact that the roots of the JWism are in the second adventism.

read how sadden everyone was to learn of this man who couldnt deal with lifes problems and decided to become judge and jury for his whole family and took them out with a shot gun blast to head as they slept in their beds.

IMO, you are clearly exaggerating the bad sides of this site and the people here. I don't hate Jehovah nor the WTBTS even though I'm very critical of the latter. I don't get any kicks when a JW suffers a misfortune in ones life. I don't take advantage of others nor twist other peoples words.
Very sorry for you, gettingout. Besides, who gives you the right to instruct Lotus? I think she can make her own decisions whether to stay here or leave.

It's also expanding slowly through the Companionship of Peace program and within a few years it will get new membership applicants. And the Russia is strongly against this expansion of NATO, especially in the Baltic states, Poland, Hungary etc. NATO has also been a key player in peace keeping or forcing in former Yugoslavia and in some other places. Sometimes it acts a lot quicker than the UN and what is important here is the fact that it can act independently without any resolutions by the UN. Besides Nato has a real force behind its back because it can take part in combats unlike the UN peace keepers. Nato can act like the 8th king of the Revelation.
So what do you think? If Russia is still the King of the North, this scenario could be true. Could Nato be the disgusting thing of the Rev, not the UN? What's your opinion about this possibility?
