  crap..... now i can't think of anything... .

  uh, wait a sec..... take one young upstart greenhorn clothing store magnate who reads the bible and has tons of arrogance and self-righteousness.. marinate him in a "doomsday" atmosphere, such as a "second-day adventist" environment, until he's thoroughly loopy.... carefully extract him from that stew and place him carefully in a special echo-box surrounded by yes-men,.

  throw in a few "end-times" dates, and let the whole mix simmer, occasionally adding a few suckers - er, followers, until the end time runs out - er, the timer runs out..... let him stew in his own juices, exposing him to a hot kitchen warmer as the embarrassment of his false predictions puts heat on him.... then bake in an oven of heated public opinion, due to his scandalous behavior towards an underage girl and his very public divorce.. serve with half-truths and contradictions.... next up - baked rutherford steeped in whiskey - gin - wine - beer - and whatever else you've got, that's alcoholic!!.

  I try not to...I know they are just people trying their best to be 'good'....but anger really boils up pretty quickly...

  The principal resigned but stands by his decision. What the hell happened?? I'd love to hear his side...but I guess we will never hear it.

  I'm not saying the principal was in the right or wrong....just saying we are still missing part of the story.

  We don't really know what the kid was suspended for...we only have one side of the story...parent, kid...whatever. THEIR side. We need to hear the school's side.

  I think it is a bit hard to believe that a little kid was suspended just for calling a teacher 'cute'.

  I will be really surprised if that turns out to be the case.

  And the biggest question, what is a "dedicated witness of Jehovah" doing in the military in the first place?

  My dad was in the military when he converted to the JWs. He eventually got himself discharged as a conscienctious objector.

  I'm not sure if he got baptised while he was still in the military, but he was certainly a true believer while still in the military. If the situation had come up, the blood thing would have been an issue for him.

  Any Brits Striking or Rallying Today? (Nov 30th Public Sector Strike re: Pensions)

  although i'm a member of both the nasuwt & atl unions, i technically can't strike as i don't have a job at present, and although i have been invited by both unions to join in the demonstrations, i won't be rallying/protesting either as i have my 2 small children to look after.

  however i am fully behind the strikes.. here's some info for those of you who aren't uk based and would like an overview of the situation.... .

  They were both amazed at the grandiloquent write up of the newly released brochures on the origin of life released at the 2010 DC. WT's logic in that brochure motivated their attendance.

  i read a lot on threads where people are feeling like a lot of you feel like many are waking up to this garbage and starting to think.

  let me give three examples:.

  1) knowing the bible speaks of not saying a greeting to the anti-christ, wts applies that to all df'd people.

  Such an interesting post. I have not seen any change in my family over the last decade, either. :(

  Then I get talked to by two elders in his hall and they reminded me of the df'ing guidlines. How'd they know? They said he told them and I was making it hard to come back. SMH!

  I would asked the DF person if this is true. Did he REALLY go to the elders and say that you saying "hello" to him was 'making it hard to come back' or did they twist his words?
