Gone & Forgotten
Yes! Living well and happily is the best revenge!!! And hopefully it will help at least one person wake up.
forgive me if this has been posted already but this was in my local paper today.. http://m.recordonline.com/article/20150307/news/150309486/0/wap&template=wapart.
if you have time to read, this is an interesting article talking about watchtowers property in ulster and orange county ny and how much the properties are worth.
it also goes on to show how the tax exempt stays is hurting the communities..

Well these are nice charitable acts. But what about the rank and file? I know many who are hard pressed for cash and the basic necessities of life at times. Why not start a charity for their own people?
How can they justify using this money for other non dubs when their own members are having hard times and still being asked to foot the WT bill?
Poor little old WT . . . They are damned if they do and damned of they don't by the ex-jw community. LOL!
does anybody have any information on recent growth in the jdub religion?
other than their own reports?
or, can you point me to the right post here?
A family member said to me they are growing so much. Their Southern Cali congregation had to split twice already.
I didn't refute this because I really don't know. But I was certain about 5-10 years ago they had to merge with another local congregation that was too small.
I was questioning them about all the kingdom halls that are supposedly needed in the USA. Apparently they think the halls will be used when Jehovah says that's it the work is over. He will ask everyone to meet at the kingdom halls.
So Jehovah is bleeding their wallets dry for kingdom halls because he isn't all powerful enough to keep track of all his faithful while he is in a mad rage wiping all the evildoers off the face of the planet.
I guess this is new light. It used to be the book study home where would take refuge.

the insight book volume 1 page 788 uses matthew 5:22 and acts 10:28 as biblical support for dfing and shunning.. thoughts?
hopefully someone upload the insight book page here.
i don't have the means.. i should have said that basically the top paragraph in the insight book is supporting shunning because the israelites shunned the man of the nations and tax collectors?

Those were my observations about the scripture too. I should have quoted them here. Thanks for doing it.
Dubs will say that Jesus account of forgiveness does not apply to disfellowshipped ones. At least my father said that. But the FDS used part of the scripture to support dfing and shunning.
Is there any wt pubs where I can point to this? Where they say or imply Jesus talking about forgiving your brother doesn't apply to dfing? They are certainly trying to use it here in the insight book.

richard ashe a full-time special servant of the order of jehovah's witnesses testified in the lopez case that every single disfellowshipping and disassociation and other things have all been scanned in 2011 and are and will be on permanent record with jw's forever.
is this legal?
another completely ironic and warped thing is the disfellowshipping form is called the s77 form.
the borg seem to prepare for changes by missing explanations out for a while then presenting a "new understanding" which doesn't contradict the most recent discussion.check out the most recent references to gog - no identification as satan.. in today's wt study, paragraph 15 concerning benefitting from the prodigal son stated "if we meet a person who has strayed from the congregation, will we offer loving and practical help to assist him to return?
" there is no footnote or other qualifier saying not to go to disfellowshipped ones (who are definitely the ones being talked about) which is still the official policy.
i know this isn't an ending to shunning, but it may signal the start of the preparation for a change.
on monday evening, feb. 16th, on the pbs newshour, there will be a segment discussing jehovah's witnesses.
generally, the newshour airs at 6 p.m. in different time zones across the united states..
please don't miss it.
