  i would like to know if anthony morris really has the particle "iii" in his name.

  i was looking how to ask about it and i found to ask his brothers.. in the watchtower 15 5/15 you can read in the article "remembering my first love has helped me to endure": .

  i must confess, however, that when i first learned the truth, i was not very tactful, especially when i talked to my immediate family.

  I mostly agree with you sir82. But I do think they will eventually ease the shunning. Shunning is a powerful tool but they'll still have the fear of the Big A to keep them in the org. I truly believe they'll eventually go mainstream . And they could still keep people in fear of apostates while easing the shunning.

  Now I'm wondering if there will be a change. Will this be new light? Will they ease up on their shunning? I think they have to eventually . There is just too much bad press about them now. I really think something has gotta give! Could this be it???? Probably not. But entirely possible. Everything they do is self serving. Could this be a change to make themselves look better?

  This is definitely written for their current members. More propaganda for the sheep. I was just thinking today about how it seems that all the dubs say lately is "visit jw.org". I'm sure this has already been said but it seems like they are trying to keep their current members from talking to outsiders about their religion.

  They come to my door and knock once and leave a tract. It seems nobody has really tried to start a bible discussion in the longest time. One time this man did I assumed was an elder. When I talk to family or call Bethel they constantly try and direct me to jw.org.

  I am guessing their main focus now is keeping the members they have.

  I also wondered if this is legit because of the "Body of faith" talk. I've never heard that either. It certainly sounds like the tone of a dub speaker.

  This needs to be publicized if it is in fact a true dub talk. It is filled with a lot of inaccuracies about how social services works. Things are exaggerated and false.

  While social services does not run a perfect ship they as a whole are not intent on keeping kids away from children. They help parents work their way back to their children. Unfortunately, even sex abusers if "repentant" and work to change are allowed to have their kids back.

  i have had virtually no contact with any witnesses beside my mother for the past few years.

  she watches tv constantly and claims she has never seen anything on the watchtower abuse cases.

  My family heard about it but didn't see the coverage. They cannot deny it in good conscience so they are just waiting on Jah too. Some of them do believe the reports are exaggerated and possibly some are lying.

  My father seems a little upset by the fact that another family member pointed out to him that all the donations will help pay for the lawsuits. But he is dying (cancer) and their is no point in pushing this topic any further with him.

  I believe my mother just told another df'ed family member not to let it stumble her. Really! Okie dokie go ahead and put your head back in the sand, mother.

  Okay another strange thing. My brother told my parents that the nightline thing was about a guy who left behind a football career for the "truth". Interesting and strange to me because it is not like my brother to lie. I don't know if he googled something and found the wrong program or if he lied so as to not upset my father. If the latter is true then I totally understand why he would lie.

  here in the united states, on wednesday morning, march 11th at 12:35 a.m., est, barring any breaking news the day before, the program, nightline, will air as their lead story a 9-minute segment about the watchtower (jehovah's witnesses).

  the program is 30 minutes long and this segment is only one part of the show.

  New WTS end date - 2034?

  so i already made an introductory thread where i said hello and mentioned my feelings toward 2034 being the wts new end date.. we get the year 2034 from matt 24:37 & luke 17:26. the wt commented on the "days of noah" in a qfr article 2010 12/15.

  where its stated: "it is logical, therefore, to conclude that genesis 6:3 expresses gods resolve to end the corrupt system of things on earth.

  jehovah issued a judicial decree to do so in 120 years, though noah was not yet aware of that.

  I think they have planted the 2034 date in jdub heads. Perhaps through a public talk. Sometime last year on a Sunday a jdub made a comment on instagram about how "this system" could go on another 20 years. I wondered then if they had heard something at their meeting that day. It was around the 100 year anniversary of 1914. I believe that is actually what they were talking about the anniversary of 1914.

  if you have time to read, this is an interesting article talking about watchtowers property in ulster and orange county ny and how much the properties are worth.

  it also goes on to show how the tax exempt stays is hurting the communities..

  Well these are nice charitable acts. But what about the rank and file? I know many who are hard pressed for cash and the basic necessities of life at times. Why not start a charity for their own people?

  How can they justify using this money for other non dubs when their own members are having hard times and still being asked to foot the WT bill?
  

  Poor little old WT . . . They are damned if they do and damned of they don't by the ex-jw community. LOL!
