  van nuys >> a man who was an usher at a kingdom hall of jehovahs witnesses in sun valley pleaded no contest thursday to sex-related counts involving three boys he met there.. marcelo lozano, 34, of sun valley, pleaded no contest to two counts of continuous sexual abuse and one count of oral copulation of a person under 14.. he is facing 30 years in state prison when he is sentenced oct. 8 by van nuys superior court judge leslie dunn.. lozano is also expected to be ordered to register as a sex offender for the rest of his life following his release from prison.. .

  One year since my Judicial Committee with JW elders - Transcribed finally!

  well it took a loooong time to do, but i have typed up all 29,000+ words and made a transcript.

  it has been a year and a month actually since i went in and let me them df me, and it feels great to be out of watchtower!!!!.

  "I am not a Trinity! And the word does not even apear in any Bible!" Oh wait I flashed back and thought I was card-carrying JW for a moment oops...

  BTW I have been getting great feedback on this one and it has drawn several new JW Trolls and apologists to go onto the blog and castigate me for "Making Satan happy" as one of them put it!

  YAY, SATAN IS HAPPY BECAUSE OF ME AND MY TRANSCRIPT! Now that's power...

  @ Solomon & Apognophos - There very well may be more details to the story. But one thing is for sure: THE ELDERS CAN DF YOU FOR ANYTHING if they want to. This has been commented on before here on JWnet and is a fact. I saw it happen many times during the years I was an elder.

  And I am working on a new video right now that has the entire story of a couple that were DFed at the same time and never even found out who accused them or what they were accused of...nothing! It is a shocking example of this very thing in action.

  i just wanted to chime in as a loving atheist father, divorced to a jw, and what plays as far as educating our children.. we have shared custody but the kids are mainly with their mom - 11 and 14 respectively.. the problem i face is keeping a balance for my children.

  i have turned atheist during our marriage, so my ex didn't have the spiritual support she signed up for anymore.

  i can understand it is not easy.

  Why would such a terrible thing be done? It is because of the Mormon Church and Watchtower Society's harsh shunning policies. Some Jehovah's Witnesses have used this terrible doctrine as a weapon against their own parents and it is a tragedy and a horrible loss for all sides. Once a person is indoctrinated into a cult, they will even turn on their own family members and this is one example of it in action.
  
  The video is based on a book that Daniel L. Hall wrote in 2000 called "The Armageddon Cult: Nothing in Watchtower is right!" It was recently recommended to me by two different friends, and I began an effort to obtain a copy. Unfortunately the only way to get a look at it is by contacting Mr. Hall directly, which I did. The book is out of print and the author is working on ways to get it back in circulation and available for order via Amazon.
  
  Anyway, I have enjoyed many sections of Mr Hall's excellent and thoroughly researched book. I share a few pages with you now, entitled, "The Great Grandmother Tragedy".

  What's with all the JWs unleashing the hate!?

  most of us here on jwn, while we can get a bit narky at times, can put forth intelligent arguments and sound observations.

  sure we can get bogged down with our opinions, but generally we back up our opinions with examples and evidence, and if someone has a different opinion with examples and evidence, we accept that without recriminations.

  that's what adults do.. so my question is, why in the last week or so, have a couple of posters claiming to be jws come onto this forum and berated, spewed hate and judgement, and in some cases verbally attacked members personally?
