"Kingdom Service" denoted that our ministry and sacred service are more than just knocking on mostly-empty houses all day. Ray may have recognized this and been instrumental in getting this changed. I'm gonna do some research and get back to you if I find out more- great topic BTW.

How come it was Our Kingdom Ministry then it was Our Kingdom Service then it was changed back to Our Kingdom Ministry?
by hoser init was okm in the old days 50s and 60s then it was our kingdom service in the 70's then they changed it back again??????.
this is the publication used at the service meeting thursday nights showing how to preach in the territory..

@INTEL - Yep. My suggestion several years ago to a few "higher-ups" was that we start phasing out the old PT outlines, like remove 1-10 this year, 11-20 next year, etc for a few years and clear out some of the old ones that we have heard LITERALLY a hundred times. Especially "Godly view of sex and marriage" that can be the worst in the hands of the wrong speaker...

Ok all you haters I thought the Special Talk was awesome the best I ever heard! But it depends on who gives it-- DUHHHHHHHHH!!! Don't you know anything you apostate haters????? That's why ur in dark-ness!!!!!
Also, each year the special talk is added into the regular public talk rotation and is no longer considered special. This part is true. Does anybody know the talk number of this one? I have *almost* all of them in PDF...some people collect hummels what a waste of time...

The interuptions were hillarious at some points. PC put Joe in his place bigtime. Rick handled himself fairly well actually IMO, and by the end was trying to be PC's friend, and admitting that Johnny isn't going to get carte blanche anymore and that he's probably not who he said he was.
Sheila came off as the goofy nut she is, and was only concerned with protecting her "reputation".
The big letdown was of course that Johnny didn't show. After PC's call to Bethel there would be little point. He's busted and he knows it.

Dawkins doesn't believe in anything. And he doesn't want to subject himself to a God or show appreciation to one. That said, Ben Stein's movie was brilliant and thought provoking.
Did you notice when he interviewed the molecular biologist and asked how the first cell was formed he said well maybe on the backs of crystals... Ben replies, "Is that your scientific answer? How did the first cell evolve?" Then silence, and the "Dr" says, "I just told you!". The fact is scientists (including Dawkins) have NO IDEA where life came from or how it began. The theories of space aliens and crystals is MORE incredulous and harder to believe in than the idea of an intelligent creator who made everything.
How can you have laws without a lawmaker? If you remove one piece from a mousetrap it will cease to function and never ever work. This is called "irreducable complexity". How could a system 1,000,000 times as complicated as a .99 cent mousetrap gradually come about one piece at a time and still "work" through it all? To me, that's the most impossible notion of all.

Society putting out "Want ads" in BOE letters
by sir82 init seems the society has a severe enough shortage of help in some areas that it is asking for help thru all the us boes.. there is one recent letter circulating asking for volunteers who can work on a persian translation team to move to "britain".
elders are to track down anyone who speaks persian & english, and ascertain their willinglness to move to bethel in london to help there.
there's a bunch of the standard "in good standing" questions they are to ask, as well as immigration / citizenship / visa issues to work out.. also, they are looking for programmers who know silverlight & xaml to work on a project for software the rbcs are using.. .

@TheLoveDr - There is a duality in the thinking the JW mind and these contradictions can eaily be accepted and understood as "literal" and "not-literal" at the same time. I only know because I've experienced it and am trying to shake off this crap out of my thinking but family memebers I've talked to still exhibit it and it's HARD to reason, even impossible, with most of them until they are ready.
