Thanks besty- if you feel the title is inaccurate that's okay that is your opinion and I respect that. I feel it is a 100% accurate statement that's what the little debate is about.
---
I have decided to start using "JW.org" interchangeably with Watchtower Organization, Watchtower Society, etc. for the simple reason that the WT is currently re-branding itself and phasing out the word "Watchtower" more and more. They are even putting up stores with "JW.org" on the side of them now. Not JW, not WT, but that.
Their letters are usually signed:
I predict that in the next five years the word "Watchtower" will not appear anywhere in their new writings, magazines, books, Kingdom Halls, etc.

We are all on the same side here and I appreciate the great comments and points made.
What I find difficult to fathom is why someone would dogmatically stick to defending something that is the equivalent of the "tenth of the mint and the dill" and get stuck in a loop with responses like "the WTS does not say it is a risk in that article...which I find deceptive"
Is WT deceptive or isn't it? Are they simply altruistic Christians trying to help these lovely young people become true Christians? If you know the WT is deceptive and a racket then why persist in arguing against the heinous act of child baptism into the cult of WT? You are in effect doing this:
"THE ARTICLE DOESN'T ACTUALLY SAY BAPTISM IS A RISK SO NANNER NANNER NANNER YOUR VIDEO IS SH1T!!!!!!"
We all know the risk of disfellowshipment is real. JW parents know it. GB members know it too, and the article make reference to this fact.
It is the height of lameness IMO to keep debating this but some people love to disagree about everything and now I'm getting sucked into debating too lol...

Deceptive WT Quotes
by Vanderhoven7 inare there other wts quotes, such as the following, that clearly demonstrate deception (cover up) on the part of the organization.. "jehovah's witnesses have consistently shown from the scriptures that the year 1914 marked the beginning of this world's time of the end and that "the day of judgment and of destruction of the ungodly men" has drawn near.
" watchtower 1993 aug 15 p.9.
"the "time of the end," a period of one hundred and fifteen (115) years, from a.d. 1799 to a.d. 1914, is particularly marked in the scriptures.

The cult conditioning shows up strongly with this poor beleagured elder... he's trying to stick to his logical WT guns of clear thinking not realizing they are metaphorical pea shooters.

@ Steve 2 - Thanks Steve I understand what you are saying.
My buddy Christian Sparlock added this great comment too:
Christian Sparlock
Excellent point about their baptism hypocrisy . Comparing to their
advice on marriage. I also was coerced into baptism . Like the "suggested video"
flyout feature . Here's proof they baptize as young as SIX.
"In the summer of 1946, I was baptized at the international convention in Cleveland, Ohio. Although I was only SIX years of age, I was determined to fulfill my dedication to Jehovah."
WATCHTOWER 1992 3/1 p.27
Preaching and Teaching Earth Wide
"BAPTIZED AT SEVEN. Paola, who lives in western Mexico, is being raised by her grandparents."
Jehovahs Witnesses Year Book 2011 p.58--------------------
@ Blondie - I like your research and your work Ms. Blondie don't think I don't!
You can quote all the WT words you want Sis, page after page... They know and we all know that it is a risk. Did you actually watch the content of the video I wonder? The point is that they say it WITHOUT ACTUALLY saying it, that baptism is a risk.
That's called reading between the lines. One example is when they would send us elders "suggestions" (when I was in that bunch) and we all KNEW they weren't actually suggestions they were commands. It's the same thing here. They are spin doctors and propagandists and they know what they are doing when they manipulate the dubb pubs by intimating that it is a risk.
BTW the title is "Baptism is a risk says JW.org" vis a vis the WT Org. it's not "The WTS does not see baptism as a risk, only individual jws do!" that would be a pretty dull title don't you think?

Why not be totally free from it all?
by braincleaned inso many of you here have suffered from the borg and it's twisted and ever-changing teachings.. some of us turned atheists, others hold on to jehovah god and his son jesus.. both have and still suffer from all the lies, the mind-control, the loss of individuality to conform to the cult.. may i offer a personal observation, for which i could be totally wrong, and would welcome rectification if i am.. as some of you know, i became an atheist long before i questioned the borg... which at first, i still considered a loving "mother".. my aha!
moment was thru my ardent personal study; and the issue i battled with was nothing else than god's character.. now, before i continue, please be aware that i have hated god until i was convinced he was a figment of the imagination and folklore in human literature.
many of you here may cringe at these words, and i do apologize if i seem to be insulting as i would hate to be guilty of that.

Good logic my friend. You ask fair questions. If a person was to consider the other side and explain why they feel otherwise it would be productive to do it in a realtime conversation IMO.

@ Blondie - All those quotes prove my point thank you for including them. The WTS doesn't care if you join up early or late as long as they get you it is disgusting. They just want another slave to help build their pyramids.

@ Blondie - I took their implication that it is a risk in the minds of parents as a tacit acknowledgement that baptism is a risk. Lose your child to "the world" and be forced to shun them if/when they screw up as kids are inclined to sometimes do...
Hmmm that's a HUGE risk IMO.
.
.
@ Steve2 - Me and my peeps LOVE diatribes you should try it sometime- it can be quite therapeutic...
Of course your characterization of my current YT video as a diatribe is a misattribution so your comment is really quite pointless.
I can't wait to see your next YT vid bro!
