  1. life can suck, so you either have to face it, or get out of the way.. 2. love heals anything and everything, end of discussion.. 3. people are amazing.. 4. some people piss me off.. 5. i piss some people off (and i enjoy doing it).. 6. god does not exist, but angels do.. 7. the most vulgar word in the english language is cancer.. 8. reality is just a frame of mind.. 9. fundies are people too, but for some reason they don't think i am a real person who is capable of love and true emotion, and i can't figure out why.. 10. current jw's are wacko and xjw's are even more wacko, but at least the xjw's make sense.

  (and i mean wacko in the nicest sense, at least for the xjw's :x ).

  Tony Hart must have a picture in the attic

  anyone remember / watch "take hart" ?.

  i watched it as a kid and now liam watches it and the guy doesn't look any different!

  he must have a picture in the attic (dorian gray style)

  TIS THE SEASON......for depression

  when i came in here a couple of months ago i didn't see a lot of conflict (a little, not a lot) but i am noticing, as i have in other boards through the years, that the closer we all get to christmas the more people are bickering.

  take a moment to think about what may or may not be happening here.. remember that it has been stated that this time of the year is stressful and the most depressing time of year for many.

  most suicides occur at this time of year.. most individuals are people that have grown up celebrating holidays, this is a normal thing in their live's......no guilt trips, no trying to hide from family or friends,....etc.

  there are two things.

  in the early and mid 80s there were witnesses saying that the cartoon characters the smurfs were not acceptable for witnesses.

  i had two smurf cartoon books and my mother made me throw them away.

  i think it is fair to say that whoever wrote genesis had a very limited scientific understanding of the world in which he lived.

  most of nature was a mystery to him.

  let us examine what he did "know"; namely, god lived in heaven, which was in the sky.

  What do you think would happen if aliens landed?

  let's paint a little picture.. it's spring 2002. at 1200h gmt a radio and tv announcement is broadcast on almost all conventional frequencies, in appropriate formats according to the medium and the area.. it's from a bunch of pale violet humaniods who have come "in peace for all qw'z'x>kind".

  they say they want to meet up with the un in full cnongress.. disbelief rapidly turns to amasement when cnn and other news-services provide footage of a large alien vessel descending into the river near the un.

  large in this case means 5km long... and wisely, none of the sac jets sent to have a look pull a will smith or anything stupid, although one gets nudgeed gently away by an invisable beam of some sort when it gets too close.. let's say it becomes apparent the aliens are utter benign, happy to hand out technological aid, scientific knowledge, and hope to welcome the people of earth to your typical peaceful federation of planets (about 5,00 different species all told).. how do you think people would react?

  I think the aliens would be incredibly foolish to give out their technology, especially to the US government. But if they did refuse to give it out, then Bush would attempt to nuke it, the nuke would be deflected, hit the UK or something then Blair would fire back, nukes would "accidentally" go stray and hit France, then in the confusion Israel & Palestine, Pakistan & India, North & South Korea and china would join in pass the mushroom cloud.

  Then Naeblis will confess he is really a mutated daffodil.

  Could it be in 2014?

  on day three of this year's district convention, the talk "malachi's prophecy prepares us for jehovah's day" brought out the point that malachi prophecied approximately a hundred years after the jews returned from babylon.. could this be a "softening up" to prepare the r&f that there's still a long way to go for this "system of things"?

  100 years from 1914 leads to..... 2014. will this become the next mental 'milestone'?.

  when that fails, it will be the "120" years promised to Noah's generation added onto 1914 to give 2034, then when that fails, who knows what else. Im sure they'll think of something.
