once i fell asleep at the meeting.
the melodic drone of the worker bee on the platform filled my head with z's.
i fought it's clever machinations, with figurative tooth and nail i clawed at it's relentless apathy.

depends on what you mean by "good"?.
what you are likely to find is a wide spectrum of different personalities, with the common thread of having some interest in the wbts.
what you will not find is the kind of structured, controlled environment of the kingdom hall, where many of the subjects that could be discussed here would never be raised.

each week on h20 this poster from oz makes comment on the current week's watchtower study.
may i commence my postings here with this post that has appeared on h20 by not looking at a scriptural teaching (so called) but a teaching of the watchtower nonetheless.
1. tertullian the first to use the word trinitas.
Do it in the Bible Research forum, thats what that forums for.

Depends what you call "good".
If you want to discuss matters of truth, the "report" of good news, then, yes, MDS, Jr, bjc and myself can help.
There lot of ex-jws and inactive jw's on here, but, they arent all that bad. Most of them that is. There are certain people who need avoiding really, something I have failed to do. It is up to you to discern these for yourself. I hope you stick around, this place is pretty easy going.
i'm just curious, as your prophesies are directed at jehovahs witnesses, why do you keep posting to this board?
most here are having big problems with jw's, and are either already out or on our way out.
if your messages and retributions are for those who are still strongly jw, why not direct your messages at *them* me thinks you are in the wrong place.
Can I have a go at answering that?
0 x 0 = GRAVY!
Or, let me see... 0 is nothing. zero. so taking nothing and multiplying it by nothing, let me see... oooh i need a calculator. Darn things broken! keeps displaying zero. Oh well, that must be the answer. But, can you really take nothing and multiply it by nothing? oh forget this, i'll wait until someone can give me the right answer.

No one else here is listening.
I'm listening...
Also, there are a lot of lurkers, who knows, they might be reading and taking in the truth. The purpose of posting on PUBLIC forums, is just that, so anybody can find the information. BJC brought this out really well on one of her earlier posts (i'll look it out if you want me to).
Incidentally, this isnt the only PUBLIC JW's forum the "report" is preached on. Its about preaching this GOOD NEWS. This is one of the ways this can be achieved. This is definitely the RIGHT place.
Also, the message is for ALL JW's, active, inactive, ex, etc... ALL Baptised JW's.

why does paul say it is a shame for a man to have long hair?didnt the nazarites who were most holy?and even the law says we must not cut our side locks or the extremity of our beards.the greek word translated long hair is only one word in the greek, and means neither long or hair.it is best translated "adorned hair", as in the interlinear translation.therefore it means a feminine or womanly style, and therefore "shameful".
Hi Robert
What are your beliefs? I suspect you're not a JW, maybe a study?
why does paul say it is a shame for a man to have long hair?didnt the nazarites who were most holy?and even the law says we must not cut our side locks or the extremity of our beards.the greek word translated long hair is only one word in the greek, and means neither long or hair.it is best translated "adorned hair", as in the interlinear translation.therefore it means a feminine or womanly style, and therefore "shameful".
The way you put it, the way I read it was like this:
Firstly you stated that Paul himself said it is a shame for a man to have long hair.
Then you went on to describe what the greek word really meant.
Therefore, Paul DID NOT say it. You should be a bit more careful in the way you word your questions.
Please, what scripture is this? A helpful bit of advice: when discussing scriptures, include them please.

i am a dfshipped person who is working towards reinstatement.. i would like to meet anyone else who also would like to return.. i really would prefer not to meet people who want to criticize my desire to return.
i would like to enjoy and offer encouragemnt to others like me.
Somebody:
Look at what the verse says immediately after:
John 5:22
For the Father judges no one at all, but he has committed all judging to the Son
Theres your answer - Jehovah left His Son in charge of the Judging.

Hi
You said:

So, get one thing right, Paul did NOT say it is a shame for a man to have long hair. The WTS TRANSLATED it that way. The WTS have been known to occaisonally alter scripture to suit their doctrine. This seems to be one example.
Can you tell me the exact scripture this is? Thanks.
