Denigrating JW's for not understanding the truth about the "truth" doesn't help them.
We can get a laugh or two out of it, but the real victims (JW's) end up in the darkness (WT) all over again.

Hey paul, withdrawl is common with any addiction or obsession (this case being obsession).
I sometimes find myself feeling that way too, considering I recently disassociated and everyone around me is JW.
In my case, it's a JW's world. It ain't easy....

this was always a waist of time on xmas day, but you know what we always has a full turkey dinner after getting back from the door knocking.. i live in the uk at the moment but will soon move to alberta in canada, what did your jw family do on xmas day did you have family over etc... .

Little nuances to the rule. Depends on your area how "spiritual" your brothers are or how their conscience might be affected.
Example: I went to a friend's house, it was his bro's birthday. I didn't stay for the birthday song, but went and ate cake anyways. No party, just a cake 'n some presents. Told my mom, and she didn't freak out or anything. But, I didn't tell her I ate cake either.... (that might have sealed the deal for me)
i spoke with my mother, told her everything, my doubts, my fears, my sins.

Oh guys, I forgot to announce. I officially disassociated.
I did go to that "last elder's meeting" which really seemed like a JC, as there were 3 elders there. They had info. on trying to help me "clear up my doubts" about the org. They even had the new elder's book. They tryed to convince me, but I told them that regardless of if this was the "truth" that I wasn't interested at the moment.
I am not looking for organised religion anymore. I always thought "Live and let live."

What I find difficult to reconcile, is the practice mentioned in the Bible.
It says in 2 John 1:10 "If anyone comes to you and does not bring this teaching, do not take him into your house or welcome him."
What was the house? The ancient church or congregation. Would they have allowed a "DF" person into their home?
What's the difference, if the house was the church? Seems to me JW DF policy doesn't agree with the Bible's, on more than one aspect.
