So, let me get this straight... you've got pedophilia issues exploding all over, a GB member who's committed perjury in front of a Royal Commission, Warwick project under threat of EPA shutdown, more than half of the young ones leaving.... ROME IS BURNING! and the GB is worried about human beings checking each other out?!? Oh, and tight pants. It's like they want to die out as a religion. -

I believe that the greater percentage of JWs-You Will Not Be Able to Help, no Matter What Facts You Show Them.
by John Aquila inso i ran into this brother whom ive known for a while and the conversation led into me being invited to come back to the kingdom hall.
we talked for about an hour during which time i explained to him 607 being the wrong date and a lot of other stuff including the child abuse cases in australia.
but what i wanted to relate was the last few minutes of our conversation.

You know what? It's like we all really believed (I mean really believed) in the the Truth; the importance of "making sure of all things", the imperative to tell worldly householders that what they had was "false religion" and to get out of Babylon the Great, lest they share in her sins. We believed so very much in the sanctity and importance of the Truth that when we found out it was absolutely not the Truth, we did exactly as they taught us to do: reject the lies, get out of Her (false religion), and tell as many people as you can to get out of Her... lest they share in Her sins and Her demise. -

He is right - if he wants to stay in, that's his business (he did make it your business, however, when HE approached you about coming back). Secondly, will he graciously and without a moments hesitation extend the same courtesy of leaving alone to a Catholic, atheist, pagan, protestant the next time he knocks on their door UNINVITED?
Third, if he has children, will they be completely free to follow the or own spiritual path w/out any interference? Not to mention, will they have the choice of not being placed in harm's way via a covered up pedophile or not being given blood in an emergency?

Depends on the laws in australia, which I am not familiar with. However, here in the US, perjury is a felony. Not good. I would think that it's similar in Australia, but I'll Google it. -

I know he's probably all busy with getting on with his life in a healthy way, but I keep checking his channel to see if he's touched the subject. I'd love to see Brother Fancy and Jehovah Bear on the stand with Jehovah Cat cross-examining. -

I'm 16 and I might be pregnant In a JW household
by NYsweet16 inokay, i don't even know where to start.
i'm 16, i live in a strict jw household and i know if i am pregnant (which is a big possibility) ..i know i'm doomed to a life of misery.
not because of my baby but because of my family and the isolation and judgement from the congregation.

Are you in the US? I ask so that I can direct you to some immediate help for your thoughts of suicide. Maybe you're past that now but I'm very concerned for you that it might crop up again if the pressure and shunning begin. Please be well. Know that you are worthy, loved and lovable.
You are worthy of Love and care.

"To which I would respond with: "How the hell can that many bad people infiltrate 'God's Earthly Organization', and do so much for so long?"
Because, silly, they're too busy making sure hormonal teenagers who've been caught being alone together get disfellowshipped to concern themselves with child molesters in their midst. Too busy straining the gnat while gulping down the camel. They are the epitome of blind guides.
