I think all the looting is terrible, but did you notice what most of them were taking? It seemed to be mostly food and diapers.
In some situations I would be for shooting looters on sight...however, since most of the city is under water at this point, I would guess that 'most' of the looting is for necessities just to survive another day or so.

The Number One Reason Why I Am Not a "Watchtower Apologist"
by logansrun ina number of people of late have noticed the concilliatory stance i take towards the jehovah's witnesses -- both as individuals and even as an organization.
they have quite rightly pointed out that i appear to "defend" the organization and it's members from attacks that i feel are unwarranted or unnecessary.
too often, i feel, this forum becomes a gripe session in which mighty ex-jw throngs feel the need to paint the organization or individual jws as totally devoid of any good qualities whatsoever.

Family tragedy.........HappyDad
by HappyDad ingot a phone call from my daughter who lives in florida a couple of hours ago.
her significant other who i chose to call my son-in-law (because he is the best thing to ever happen to her) got a phone call that his 6 year old daughter was killed in an auto accident near lake placid, florida and his 5 year old son is in very critical condition.
the ex wife is also critical.
