it seems to be a minor change, but interesting is the date it went into effect:.
although it is known for long that the kingdom ministry is not prepared by the writing dept.
but by the service dept.
It seems to be a minor change, but interesting is the date it went into effect:
Although it is known for long that the Kingdom Ministry is not prepared by the Writing Dept. but by the Service Dept. this has only recently been officially acknowledged by a change of copyrights. The copyright for the km is no longer hold by the WTBTS of Pennsylvania but by the Christian Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses.
Guess which issue of Our Kingdom Ministry is the first to bear the new copyright? Exactly, the nice August 2002 issue. This fine insert is the first issued under the new copyright.

next year, jw's have international conventions at least in switzerland, spain, s africa, japan and australia.
they usually have their big conventions in countries where they desperately need some positive pr, so what is going on in these countries?.
link:.
Years ago ICs were held worldwide with NHK and FWF attending mostly all of them. As the GB cannot attend conventions in all countries in one summer, they split it up nowadays.
In Europe they had ICs in 98 in Germany and the BI (as they call the UK), in 02 in France and Italy now it's the turn for Denmark, Spain and Switzerland. Next time perhaps Portugal and the Netherlands and than they start from the beginning.

any words that are in italics or caps are used to stress that particular word the way the co stressed it.
i have this talk on audio tape.
the quotes are exact!
Seems to me your CO must be in his mid 80s.
Since the Service Dept. provides them with outlines for all their talks they usually stick to that without going into too many details about the local cong.
And comparisons are usually not made - except your CO is doing his job for 40 or more yrs and is simply sticking to his good old routine of publisher bashing.

the background to this thread is that i love wearing (?
) a beard, but my wife hates it.
i've changed my profile pic to reflect four states of facial hairiness (if it doesn't show, hit "refresh" on your browser).. i'm interested in your opinions.
btw, did you start growing your facial hair before your stepping down or only afterwards?

as a disclaimer, i am an ex-jw (da'd) for about 15+ years, so i really haven't kept up on what's going on in bethel (come to think of it i wasn't really interested in it when i was a jw!
recently, however, one of my relatives (current jw) commented that, although my nephew had applied to bethel (oh what a privilege!
), he was basically told he wasn't needed at this time because they aren't "mailing out the publications" there like they used to.
There have always been ups and downs and the hire & fire mentality has always been used.
"You have been appointed to serve again as regular pioneer in your home congregation."
"Thank you very much for this unique privilege."

oh man....check this out.. my brother, an active jw, whom i am very close too, called me sometime last year to tell me about the un issue.
i never cared to talk about religion .... most of my family is in and i'm not.
so i boringly reply,'oh yeah'..not really listening.
I'm sure it won't take too long before you're talking again. If her husband continues to make research as he did. Anyway the number of lurkers keeps on increasing.

i'm curious to see if anyone here has any major anxiety disorders and how it affects their lives.
as a semi-confession, i think i may have something of this sort, but i'd like a comparison first.
being a male, i never go to the doctors unless my leg is falling off, so i don't just want to go to a doctor to medicate a problem that could be overcome in other ways.
Elders meetings are among the most stressful moments of my life.

i have been coming here as a lurker for some time and occasionally posting.
i was first drawn by posts from alanf and farkel who i suspect are in my age bracket and from my era in the wts.
i look forward to bill bowen's posts because i have a personal interest in combating the abuse of children in any form or group.
