information that I gave to a friend, when he

insisted that the faithful and discreet slave

as living channel of God on earth, would

never lie. So I did use some recent material,

beginning with this one:

From The Watchtower January 15 th , 2001 page 31

A special announcement 2 nd paragraph:

Making a very significatnt point, Brother Barr stated:

The faithful and discreet slave and its Governing

Body have had entrusted to them interests that are higher

and far more compassing than those granted to legal cor-

porations. Set out in the chartered purposes of each of such

entities are matters that are imited in their scope. Our Master, Jesus Christ, however, has appointed the faithful

slave class over all his belongings or Kingdom interests

here on earth.- Matthew 24:45-47.

***1 st LIE :

a) When Brother Barr says : Our Master, Jesus Christ, however, has appointed the faithful slave class.. we can quickly refer to a reminder of such

event , published in the year 1990:

(Matthew 24:46, 47) These true Christians entered into the joy of their Master. Having shown themselves faithful over a few things, they were appointed by the Master to be over many things. (Matthew 25:21) The faithful slave and its Governing Body were in place, ready for a widened assignment. How glad we should be that this was so, for loyal Christians are richly benefiting from the devoted work of the faithful slave and its Governing Body!

So according the the WTBS Inc. s publication, the faithful and discreet slave was appointed in 1919.

Yet, the same magazine, almost 20years before, wrote

on the subject of the Governing Body the following:

The official magazine of Jehovahs Christian witnesses is The Watchtower Announcing Jehovahs Kingdom.

In the year 1944 the Watchtower magazine began to speak about the governing body of the Christian congregation.

Strange, why would the Watchtower magazine begin to speak about the governing body only since 1944???

No need to speculate or to guess about this matter,the answer was given on page 757, of the same 1971s magazine:

GOVERNING BODY

According to the apostolic example of the first century C.E., these dedicated, baptized Christians known today as Jehovahs witnesses have a governing body, as specifically noted from the year 1944 onward.

I do believe that this goes without comment.

Remember another claim - The Master, Jesus Christ

did the appointing -

Lets see this claim more closely, only few pages

Russell was patently of that governing body back there in the last quarter of the nineteenth century.

Now, please notice:

However , we are given a quite astonishing statement :

It seems clear, they were appointed evidently under the guidance of Jehovahs invisible active force or holy spirit and also under the direction of Jesus Christ But quite odd,

The Watchtower magazine adds:

True, the members of that governing body were not directly appointed by the Lord Jesus Christ

Now if you are amazed, confused, and begin to have headache, the same magazine The Watchtower continues and states , on the same page 761:

*** w71 12/15 761 A Governing Body as Different from a Legal Corporation *** Thus, too, even though there were no apostles of Christ on hand in the nineteenth century, Gods holy spirit must have been operative toward the formation of the governing body for his anointed remnant of the faithful and discreet slave class. The facts speak for themselves. There came on the scene a body of anointed Christians who accepted and undertook the responsibilities of governing the affairs of Jehovahs dedicated, baptized, anointed people who were following in the footsteps of Jesus Christ and endeavoring to fulfill the work stated in Jesus prophecy at Matthew 24:45-47. Facts speak louder than words. The governing body is there. Thankfully Jehovahs Christian witnesses know and assert that this is no one-man religious organization, but that it has a governing body of spirit-anointed Christians.

Strange because few line above it was stated that:

They -the members of the governing body - were appointed evidently under the guidance of Jehovahs invisible active force or holy spirit but now the phrase

is: Gods holy spirit must have been operative ..

To cut down any further discussion, it is added:

* The facts speak for themselves.

Facts speak louder than words.

the governing body is there.

Finally just in case one should start to have doubts:

Thankfully Jehovahs Christian witnesses know and assert that this is no one-man religious organization, but that it has a governing body of spirit-anointed Christians.

Incidentally this issue of The Watchtower has one of the

very rare use of the term: Jehovahs Christian witnesses.

I have to tell you that , my friend appreciated the research, but he was quite sad aboutthe result!

I'm sure that many time we have used evidence to

prove or to corroborate a fact, in order top help the

other part to understand better .

This kind of practice is well known by the WTBS

Inc., which uses it all time and bring to the attentions

of the R&F, all sorts of " evidence in proof "-

To highlight better this point let me refer to a "tipical"

exemple of this, where the WTBS Inc., actually gives

a definition of " evidence".

The quotes are taken from the book " The Harp of God",

by J.F. Rutherford , published by the I.B.S.A.,

the "Watch Tower Bible and Tract Society, N.Y. U.S.A."

and the Peoples Pulpit Association, Brooklyn ,N.Y. "

( 1928 edition).

Let's begin with page 245 , paragraph 420 :

" Evidence is that which is submitted to ascertain and establish the truth upon a question at issue or for determi-nation. Positive evidence is that which is given by witnesses who testify to things which they have seen and

know to be true. Circumstantial evidence is a combination

of harmonious circumstances which naturally lead to a certain result, as effect from cause."

- Are you still there? It continues:

"Where things transpire in accordance with God's fixed laws, and such facts we know to be true, these may be said to be physical facts. If God has caused his holy prophets

to testify that certain things would come to pass at some unknown time, and then such events do transpire which

we see and known to be true, such facts are properly cal-led physical facts, and such proof is properly called circum-stantial evidence."

- Hello,no headache yet? Well, let's carry on still on

page 245, paragraph 421 :

" The reliability of positive evidence depends much upon

circumstances which are known to be true. If therefore we

find that certain events have come to pass in our day and that these events are known to us and known to be true, and that such events and facts are exactly in harmony with

divine prophecy, then we may say, These are physical facts which we may confidently rely upon as competent proof to

establish the question for determination. The question now at issue and for determination is, When did the Lord come to his temple, and what is the proof thereof?"

The same - author - who wrote, on page 251 and

paragraph 430 :

for all the suffering endured for...nothing, only because some men decided

keeping well in mind the quote from :

Of course , the number of those associated with Jehovahs Witnesses is not a criterion for determining if they enjoy

divine favor, nor do statistics impress God.

Let's take a look at these figures, for the last

40 years, wellfrom the the year 1962.

Here we go:

Few times there has been a request to prove that

what the WTBS Inc. has been printing on a regular

base i.e.

"Jehovah God is blessing His people with increase"

What better way than , to verify this claim, from the WTBS Inc. , own publications?

Let's begin with a quote from a magazine:

The Watchtower 15 th January, 2001 page 17 3:

Of course , the number of those associated with Jehovahs Witnesses is not a criterion for determining if they enjoy

divine favor, nor do statistics impress God.

So according to this statement numbers, statistics are not

really the factor to link to divine favor.

But, wait a second , in the same magazine, page 12 the

WTBS Inc. wrote with a different style:

"Millions of Kingdom proclaimers - a mighty nation -are now associating with more than 91,000 congregations in 235 lands around the earth. Unquestionably, this confirms that Jehovah is speeding up the ingathering of true
worshippers before the outbreak of the" great tribulation," now so near at hand.- Matthew 24:21; Revelation 7:9-14. "

Notice also that Jehovah God is involved, actually is

Him that provokes the " speeding up the ingathering of true worshippers.."

Hold on, and let's go ahead in timejust one month:

"The Watchtower " 15 th February, 2001 page 27, paragraph 17 :

" In his book These Also Believe, Professor Charles S.Braden said:' Jehovah's Witnesses have literally covered the earth with their witnessing. It may truly be said that no single religious group in the world displayed more zeal and persistence in the attempt to spread the good news of the Kingdom than Jehovah's Witnesses.
This movement will very likely go on from strength tostrength.'
How right he was! When he wrote those words 50 yearsago, only some 300,000 Witnesses were preaching around the world. What would he say today, when about 20 times that number-some six million-are preaching the good news?"

Again the tone has changed. You might have noticed a certain pride even boasting about number!

Let's continue and we arrive at the month of May

"The Watchtower " 15 th , May 2001 page 13 18

Question : What evidence is there that Jehovah is blessing the preaching work?

(answer)

"Consult the current Yearbook of Jehovah's Witnesses,

and note the lands now reporting from 100,000 to nearly 1,000,000 Kingdom publishers. This is powerful proof

that the Kingdom-preaching work is being blessed by Jehovah."

Now it's very clearthe increase is a "powerful proof "

Jehovah's blessing.

Since the WTBS thinks that the R&F needs a quick reminder on this subject, they publish - 15 days

later the following:

The Watchtower June 1 st , 2001 page 19, 8,

question (first part):

What has been the result of Jehovahs blessing on his people..?

***Answer , for paragraph 8 :

Jehovahs Witnesses have been blessed with increase because they have continued seeking first the Kingdom and (Gods) righteousness. (Matthew 6:33) .And the end is not yet. Just during the past decade , the number of active proponents of Kingdom rule increased by over 1,750,000 persons.

Again the increase is considered a "blessing" , naturally from Jehovah .

Yet in all this self-praising attitude the WTBS Inc., has,

to use a familiar expression, shot itself on the foot!

Infact, what the WTBS Inc.s writers failed to add, in

The Watchtower June 1 st , 2001 page 19, 8,

is that during that same period decade i.e. from the year 1990 to the year 2000, they did register, officially a total of 3,523,718 new baptisms, or to use their expression , a total of 3,523,718 active proponents of Kingdom rule symbolized their dedication by water baptism.

In conclusion in that decade so much highlighted, the actual increase of active proponents of Kingdom rule was only 50% of the total whosymbolized their dedication, to Jehovah God , by water baptism.

This fact suggests logical questions :

1) Is it really Jehovahs blessing, behind all the

" increase "???

2) If it is really " the result of Jehovahs blessing on

his people .." what happened to the othe 50%

of the total of active proponents of Kingdom rule

who symbolized their dedication by water baptism??

I do hope that the defenders of the 'mighty' WTBS Inc.

ideas or opinions or everchanging doctrines, will be able

to come up with a "Bible - based " answer.
