mrsjones5 that sounds awesome!!!! The size doesn't matter, it's the quality :) You can wear open toed shoes or sandals, and no one can judge you 'cause your feet are awesome looking lol

talesin, the pure gall of this brother!!!! And to drink, no less!!! Such a smart cookie you were to ditch his sorry butt, but can you imagine, I bet there are plenty of willing sisters that would totally put up with this!!JW dates were always awkward, being chaperoned and all. I always got my little brother to chaperone, gave him five bucks and told him "Go wild", he'd leave us alone for a good while lol.

Hey guys, just wanted to hear your stories about the worst dates you have been in or have heard about.

Let's see... worst date... hmm...

Okay so this didn't happen to me, but I was there lol. A former best friend (male) in high school decided to take his gf for a movie date. He asks me if I wanted to tag along, bring a friend of my own so it can be a double date. Well. First, my tag along never materialized, and then since we were poor high school kids, we walk the thirty minutes to my friend's gf's house. The moment she saw me, her face fell lol I can't say I blame her. I ended up going to the movies with them, sitting right next to them, with the girl so beyond MAD. It was awkard as hell, but hey I wanted to watch the movie (Horton Hears a Who) so I stuck through it lol.

A couple days later, they break up. I still believe this incident had something to do with it lol.

I think my worst date story isn't so bad actually. Most of the time I lied if I had a date, but during those few times I had to tell my parents, they always sent my brother out with me, which yeah, was purteeee awkward lol. The least rewarding date was with a chick I fell hard and fast for. Took her to a movie, bought popcorn with my very hard earn allowance money (lol) and in the end turns out she was just using me to get to my former best friend (he of the awkward movie with gf). Karma I guess? Lol.

So yeah I would like to hear your stories!!!

No prob Zidina, this is actually a really interesting thread!!! Also: celebrity feet. I've seen some gnarly feet on some beautiful actresses. In that front, I do not envy them.

Jebus!!! I knew about the damage induced by wearing heels LONG ago, so I don't wear heels, unless it's a special occassion. I actually haven't worn heels in years, I prefer comfortable shoes. But my grandma was a very fashionable lady of the seventies/eighties according to my dad, and the family has always commented on her feet, how horrible they are :p.

What's The Longest Bible Study Length You Heard Of?

i knew a sister in my old congregation that had two sons and i actually studied with one.

i left the org, went back to college, new job etc.

then i ran into her about ten years later at a store.

My mom before she finally got baptized. Studied since age 11, got dipped at age... 34 I believe... that's a whole lotta years in between.

And two years right after, she decided to leave the org in pursuit of carnal ambitions, debauchery and left my dad after just two years of marriage (funny, she only got married so she could get baptized, I was told this by herself the day of the wedding). They're back together now, and I believe she still speaks to some brothers and sisters. I heard she's trying to get back in, and I'm trying my darndest not to bet about this whole thing (hundred bucks says she won't last more than two years ;o).

Did you experience classdivision while being JW?

we all know how jw brag about their strong internal love.

all are treated equal no matter rank, color, money, status etc.

is this really true?

Since I come from a 'poor' background and a Spanish cong in the southside of Chicago, there waasn't any money 'elitism' so to speak But rank elitism was rampant.

If you were an Elder family, you would be invited to everything. Weddings, celebrations, gatherings... unless those throwing the gatherings were little rebels, and this happened, but they were chastised by other JWs so not a lot dared not invite the prominent JWs.

The kids of these families made life hell for those of us who were not baptized or who were not pioneering during school breaks. I cried many times, screamed at my mom and asked why was I being picked on, why if I tried to be nice??? It left me bitter, so much so I ended up bullying them right back, which made me feel horrible because I hate altercations, but enough was enough, especially when they started messing with my little brother and sister.

Adults also suffered the classdivision, perhaps the worst. My dad was always looked down upon, regardless of how smart, sweet and amazing and caring father he is. My mom was always heralded a great mother because she got baptized and worked her butt off in giving testimony, door to door, even though she was psychologically abusive and has Narcissitic and Borderline problems.

That system is broken, through and through.
