Back from the Memorial
by ScoobySnax inwell like i say, just got back from the memorial, have been going most years, but this year i went by chance (knew it was roughly at 7pm at the nearest kh) to my old congregation that i grew up in.
i didn't find the "evil" people spoke of here on this forum, or those too stupid to see.
all i did see was people i hadn't seen in years, and let me tell you, what lovely people they were.

Help!!, I have to do a presentation!!!
by ScoobySnax infor my project i have chosen "better communication within the nursing/medical team" and i've got a rough idea of what i want to say, but i just want to know if any of you have any good advice about presentation skills i need to employ.
in my own ward environment i'm, if anything over the top, laughing and joking, have plenty of confidence, because i know them, and they're my staff.
but the thought of having to present infront of a room of 100, made up of all the hospital managers and directors is starting to make me quake a bit!!!

Whats the best internet music file sharing thingy....?
by ScoobySnax inhave been using morpheus for a couple of years now, and hasn't been too bad at all, got about 400 tracks download.
since gettiing aol broadband, the diversity seems to have diminished a bit, either i'm on the wrong dsl provider or morpheus isn't as good as it used to be.
the one i was on previous (can't remember the name now) went totally pearshaped after it got served a writ for using copyrighted material.....anyway, know of any other good music file sharing sites?

Thanks Mark...... I appreciate your concern too, but don't have much time for the greed of record companies that wanna charge me £15.99 for a cd, that costs just a fraction of the price, and have no concern themselves for "royalties". If its any help, its not from "fledgling" artists I download from , only those well established, who live in mansions, and surely can tolerate file sharing sites due to there already enormous wealth. Greed is prevalent in the industry, I feel strongly that ordinary people have this right to d/l on then net, music that they love. Sincerely. Scott

4. they don't do 5p meal tickets at the conventions anymore
5. or bacon butties come to think of it

Music artists who have died, and those you missed the most.....
by ScoobySnax inok with the death of nina simone today at 70, i got to thinking about other great artists who have died.
many would say elvis, but he wouldn't feature if i had to pick just 3. mine would go something like this.
3. tammy wynette (stand by your man was a song that'll always remind me of my grandad who died 10 years ago, always makes me smile and remember him, and her collaboration with the klf circa 1992. justified and ancient.

3. Tammy Wynette (Stand by your man was a song that'll always remind me of my grandad who died 10 years ago, always makes me smile and remember him, and her collaboration with the KLF circa 1992. Justified and Ancient. was just great)
2. Dusty Springfield. What a voice. all her old stuff, and more recent 90's stuff, "In Private" and collaboration with the Pet Shop Boys "What have you done for me Lately.."
No.1 has to be Karen Carpenter. Loved all that Carpenters stuff, and what a voice she had, in my mind its never been equaled.
What were your greatest (hope this not to morbid!) 3 past music artists?

Teenyuck.....not sure if you got the answers you wanted or not. I could call HLC locally from our hospital and find out for you the stance of the WBTS in relation to bone marrow transplants if that helps you. All the best. Scott
