Was Johnny Carson pro JW?

i never saw the show but heard about it in the jw circle (urban legend??).
it was known that john denver hated jw's and during their bantering, carson asked denver about his asking jw's to leave during his concerts.

Another visit from the Witnesses
by ScoobySnax inso after staying at a girlfriends house last night, there i was happily cooking eggs and bacon this morning when the doorbell goes.......yep thats right.
being her house is outside the area of my original congregation, i didn't recognise the 2 blokes at the door.
i stood there and engaged in polite conversation for 10 minutes and took the latest magazines.

If I see Witnesses I know at the supermarket or out shopping, I always stop and chat, mainly small talk. But when you're confronted unexpectedly I just clam up. Maybe it something to do with chatting to someone on "your" terms as opposed to "theirs"
