  This forum...Is it really healthy........??

  is it really healthy to keep posting even though you may be anti-jw?

  ..... when does the crunch come to think enough is enough, i need to get a grip and move on with my life as a jw or exjw?

  I guess Larc, it boils down to doing the "christian" thing in actually physically helping someone or some people. I work as a nurse manager on a busy acute surgical ward, and of course I don't do it voluntarily, neither do I walk round with a big JW sticker on my head. I chose this career because I want to help people back to health as far as that may be. Sometimes you fail and are not able to, because that person is too sick and ill, those times and like any other good nurse, you are able to just be there, hold a hand, or just listen. Like Dawn said, even one can make the difference.

  As far as Jehovah's Witnesses as a group are concerned, the quick builds are of course only a small part of what they do, yet something that does indeed garner alot of media attention due to the sheer speed at which a KH is completed. This however does not diminish from there primary responsibility of preaching the good news, you like many here will know the scripture from Matthew off by heart. So many times I have seen acts of kindess from Witnesses to my mum when she was both active and inactive and to other members of my family including myself. I am confident without having to read it in the pages of the WT or Awake, that this occurs the world over, aside from the preaching work. I have watched Witnesses visit those of their own faith on my own ward, bringing physical and spiritual comfort, and offer that help to patients close by. One old lady on the ward who was bedded next to a Witness patient and had no-one to visit her, remarked how loving it was for people of the JW faith to visit her neighbour. The very next day, the witnesses were there with food gifts and basic toiletries for her too. I slunk in the background, not saying who I was, but I saw. It made all the difference to the old lady with no visitors, and it made my heart glad too.

  It isn't exclusive to JWs I'm sure, but its there the same.

  Valis, Sorry if I'm getting tiresome to you. I will give you a break soon, and all the "newbies" Do you really think I might be affecting how they might view this forum coz of what I might post? Or am I mis-interepreting where you're coming from? Give them some credit, and please don't ever feel I ever need any "coddling" from you.

  Shari, Thanks for your words, they meant alot. You are the type of poster I would truly miss. I have mellowed, its only on occasion I get this fire in me!! LOL

  Hmmm..... thanks Tal.

  If the information was posted as an only incident of a quick build where something awful might have happened, or even where incidences have happened. I would be the first one to say how awful that was, and should not ever happen again, not on a quick build, not in a Kingdom hall, not in a circuit, not in a district, not anywhere, not anyhow. No excuses. It has however happened, amongst almost 16 million (memorial attendance, occasional attendances) it has happened many times, none of these instances where it has been excusable. Not one. I really and truly believe the Organisation needs to re-dress the 2 witness rule, that is my personal opinion, so as not one more will be put at risk of being abused. I know this leaves the ones who have with little comfort. My heart goes out to them.

  I cannot however condemn the whole JW movement as a whole in such blase terms as some do here, I find it ignorant, narrow minded and stupid, to trash the reputation of a whole group. This forum sometimes becomes a breeding ground for mis-information, half truths and outright paranoia against JWs, who on the whole are a good people, supported by an Organisation who provide good scriptural truths from a Biblical direction. I don't claim to be an advocate in the least, just an observer.

  how narrow-minded some of you are here! Does it irk you so much to know that some Witnesses get together and build a Kingdom Hall? Or would you have it that a crowd of child molesters did this together>? Some of you sound more crazy than any paranoid judicial commitee has ever. Get a grip of yourselves, you lose any credibility you might have gained.
