Oh yes, the Roman Catholic Heirarchy. They used to talk about this a lot at one time. Listen for example to this audio recording from 1938

So, the Womens March ... What Is It For?
by Simon init seems like mobilizing after the election, which seems pointless.
i keep hearing demands for equal rights but don't understand what rights they are missing exactly.. normally a march is to show the support (and potential votes) for a cause, but ... votes for what?
... and the election happened already.. is anyone else confused?

If there were Islamic groups involved in the protest march, why does it follow that everyone else is being coopted into promoting an Islamic ideology? I don't think that would be the perception of those who marched. I didn't get that impression looking at it from the outside.
I have only ever been on one protest march in my life - the stop the war march in London in 2003. It was organised by the Stop the war Coalition which i believe had links to Socialist party. Lots of copies of the Socialist Worker around the place. I didn't consider that I had been coopted by that. I was protesting against something that i believed was wrong and that was it.

My impression is that this was a march in solidarity for people and rights that are deemed to be under threat. The specifics of what individuals were marching varied - it wasn't just one issue. Maybe you ought to ask people who actually went on the march why they went. They will be able to give you their own personal reasons.
I thought it was a powerful thing personally. It might not directly achieve anything but that does not mean it was ineffective. Even a scream of defiance is worthwhile. It signals non compliance, non complicity to onself and others. Saying out loud what you value where you feel undermined or those values threatened, with crowds of others and finding strength from that. Seeing that you not alone. These are all positive things as far as I'm concerned.

Charity Commission, JWs drop Application for Judicial Revue.
by Slidin Fast init seems that the cc dropping the production order for documents is a quid pro quo for the wt dropping the application for judicial revue.
i hope that things are not getting too cosy between the cc and wt.
the good thing about this though is that now the litigation stage is over.

ARC Analysis Summary of Case Files
by Richard Oliver ini have been doing research on the arc as some people on here have suggested.
i find it interesting on the case file analysis some of the findings.
it looks like queensland and new south wales had the biggest problems with this.

That is the most vicious comment I have seen on this board, Richard. I hope you will apologise and take it back.

I don't know why I have been doing so much research when I can just be like everyone else here and just make up whatever I want, as long as I find people who agree with me, it must be true. This is so liberating.
If all that mattered to us was to be in agreement no matter the truth, most of us would still be witnesses. Its because that is not the case that we are not. It is because we have researched that many have left. It is you who need to research. You say you have done so but I have to wonder at that.
The Jw's do not have the truth Richard. You have everything upside down. Maybe you will see it one day. Please continue to research beyond the small niche that you seem focused on now.

I think it is unrealistic to expect everyone to be completely fair and balanced after leaving the org. Our brains are not camcorders, they don't work that way. A JW may have had some good times while a witness but they must look back through the veil of subsequent experiences and knowledge and that colours and reorients how it is perceived.

Are baptized Witnesses that are no longer in the "truth", but were NEVER DF'D, now to be shunned and treated like disfellowshipped ones?
by Dunedain ina relative of mine was telling me, that in his, and a few neighboring congregations, there is a little confusion amongst some of the jw's about this "issue".
some families are having a hard time about whether certain relatives will be attending certain family functions, because some family members that are no longer in the "truth", might be invited to these functions.
mind you, these persons were never disfellowshipped.
