If John Redwood wants to report on the case every day surely that is a good thing. Better than not. I don't see where shes not been transparent.

Does any one know if this is available in the U.K.? I can't find it on Netflix, Amazon or Now...
No I don't think it is. You could stream it if you really wanted to watch it. This is a link to a stream of the first episode you could watch in the UK without a VPN
http://www.watchseries.ac/link/vidto.me/14165973
This is a site with streaming links for all eps. Most will not work in the UK without a VPN but the vidto.me links seem to be alright.

Oh Wow! I had no idea it was becoming so widespread. AO Advocates calling them Jehovah's Witness Specialists.
What I liked about that Australian lawyer firm was this part:
We are working with advocacy groups and leading practitioners in the UK and the United States to ensure that we are taking a collaborative approach where possible and that we share learnings across the jurisdictions.
I like the idea they are all learning from each other.

Not entirely relevant to this thread but I just saw a post on reddit which linked to an Australian law firm who seem to be going after child abuse cases in JW land in Oz.
https://www.shine.com.au/service/abuse-law/jehovahs-witnesses-historical-abuse-claims/
Jehovah’s Witnesses Historical Abuse Claims
The Royal Commission identified a number of serious issues in relation to the child protection policies of the Jehovah’s Witnesses organisation. It found that the organisation does not respond adequately to reports of child sexual abuse. There has been, and remains, litigation on foot in Australia, the UK, the US and many other countries against the Jehovah’s Witnesses organisation.
We are committed to holding this organisation to account by providing the support and guidance to help survivors come forward. The voices of these survivors will continue to drive positive change, and will ensure that child protection policies and actions within this organisation are improved.
We are working with advocacy groups and leading practitioners in the UK and the United States to ensure that we are taking a collaborative approach where possible and that we share learnings across the jurisdictions.
If you’ve been affected by abuse, please contact the Shine Lawyers Abuse Team using the forms below.
Shine Lawyers’ Abuse Law Team specialises in providing legal advice and guidance to survivors of abuse, standing as a voice for clients and helping them gain access to justice and acknowledgement for the harm they have suffered.
Collectively, our team possesses over 105 years of experience in in this area of law. We work with survivors to determine their rights and deliver the outcomes that are most important to them – acknowledgement, apology and compensation.
We are highly experienced in bringing claims for individuals who were subjected to sexual abuse within a range of churches and institutions, including the Jehovah’s Witnesses. We are familiar with the organisational and legal structure, the isolating culture and their policies in relation to the reporting of abuse. This experience allows us to provide expert advice and representation.

The belief is the most sacred fundamental aspect of their identity; it is everything to them and the source of much struggle too. You have seen it, shared it and then rejected it. You have thus rejected all that they are. A rejection of scripture would not cause them to hate you as they do. Its the percieved personal rejection of their entire selves that does that.

Oh yes, the Roman Catholic Heirarchy. They used to talk about this a lot at one time. Listen for example to this audio recording from 1938

So, the Womens March ... What Is It For?
by Simon init seems like mobilizing after the election, which seems pointless.
i keep hearing demands for equal rights but don't understand what rights they are missing exactly.. normally a march is to show the support (and potential votes) for a cause, but ... votes for what?
... and the election happened already.. is anyone else confused?

If there were Islamic groups involved in the protest march, why does it follow that everyone else is being coopted into promoting an Islamic ideology? I don't think that would be the perception of those who marched. I didn't get that impression looking at it from the outside.
I have only ever been on one protest march in my life - the stop the war march in London in 2003. It was organised by the Stop the war Coalition which i believe had links to Socialist party. Lots of copies of the Socialist Worker around the place. I didn't consider that I had been coopted by that. I was protesting against something that i believed was wrong and that was it.

My impression is that this was a march in solidarity for people and rights that are deemed to be under threat. The specifics of what individuals were marching varied - it wasn't just one issue. Maybe you ought to ask people who actually went on the march why they went. They will be able to give you their own personal reasons.
I thought it was a powerful thing personally. It might not directly achieve anything but that does not mean it was ineffective. Even a scream of defiance is worthwhile. It signals non compliance, non complicity to onself and others. Saying out loud what you value where you feel undermined or those values threatened, with crowds of others and finding strength from that. Seeing that you not alone. These are all positive things as far as I'm concerned.
