i'm interested to know if anyone has been to see a medium/clairvoyant since leaving jw's.

i must admit now i can make my own choices i seem to have a fascination with it although haven't acted on it as a) am i just jumping into believing another load of rubbish?

and b) what if it really is the demons pretending to be loved ones!!

Hey JWS, hope your weekend is going well. I was actually hesitant to post anything on this thread because I didn't want to be labelled a proponent of parapsychology or anything paranormal because I'm not. After leaving JWs I read a lot of books, some worth reading and some not so much. I happened to come across this book after reading one of John Anthony West's book Serpent in the Sky regarding Egypt. Anyways, Robert Schock assisted him with the dating of the Sphinx. I liked him real well and so picked up whatever else he had written. I recommended the book merely because of how comprehensive it was and felt that if anyone was interested in the topic this book would be a good place to start, and from there, the reader can make up their own mind. Because who am I to tell you what is and what isn't? I really am just an uneducated exJW with no claim to fame. I do my best to enhance my knowledge but I'm no expert on anything. I am just rolling with the punches and keeping an open mind about everything.

Anyways, I have rambled on long enough. Thanks for posting, you brought up some really good points. I really love this board for all the different point of views there are. It really gives so much food for thought.

It shouldn't get to that point. She should have done her job that she agreed to do. If I refuse to do a part of my job duties then I get fired. I have no business being there. She doesn't like the law, fine, resign from the job and save us the headaches. You cannot logically expect the couple to go out of their way when the law says they don't have to. Legally they were allowed to go there and get a license. Her feelings and beliefs are irrelevent.

There's a really good book called The Parapsychology Revolution by Dr. Robert Schoch & Logan Yonavjak that compiles research into the topic of ESP, clairvoyance, and PSI that I highly recommend reading if you are interested in the topic.

i know there is a lot of people on here that will say it is pure make believe but i am interested if anybody has had any real concrete things happen such as something moving or something appearing in the mirror etc.. anything just post it up here even if it wasn't much.

Thank you pronomono. Well I will put one out there for me. I was having a strange dream where I did feel like something evil was in it. It hunted me down after I had discovered it(in the dream). I had my hands at my sides because of freezing of fear(in real life). Then I felt what felt exactly like a finger press down on the high point of my cheek bone and then nothing more happened.

Being in a sleep state such as you were I wouldn't read too much into it myself.

i popped into the supermarket for a few things after work today and found myself walking up an aisle alongside a couple who used to be in my tuesday group.

i see them reasonably often and always say hello much to their obvious annoyance.

i noticed that ian was sporting a shaggy beard.

just have to vent as this has been commented on before.

some of you know about my son's condition and how he almost died had it not been for the transfusion he received.. my wife took him to the children's hospital for routine labs and pain in his leg.

on the way in she saw a jw cart right outside the outpatient exit.

Just wanted to send some love and well wishes to your son and your family. I hope he is on the road to recovery now.

It sickens me as well how they claim to be doing good for society when they do the opposite and allow people to die or waste their life. But we can't change that. All we can do is be here for one another and encourage one another to be the best versions of ourselves. Our happiness is the best revenge.
