  Headship and WT's Changed Understanding

  i don't think anyone has mentioned that the february 2021 study wt (p. 15, 16; par.

  8) changed wt's long standing view on headship within the congregation.

  wt used to view all baptized males as being the head of all baptized sisters.. this view led to such absurdities as a sister having to wear a head covering on a bible study because her baptized 10 year old son was sitting in on the study with her.

  With all the flip flops I wonder if the WT even knows what the current beliefs are on anything. Do they have a master book with all the current beliefs?

  It has always been my understanding that the elders don't speak to a wife directly but should go through the husband. Which has problems of it's own.

  This whole thing is probably because they're having a hard time getting young men to reach out for "privileges".

  Getting to handle the microphones isn't the thrill it once was.

  On a side note those study articles have stopped even pretending they aren't spoon feeding you what they want you to believe anymore. Ask a question and provide the answer underneath. At least we used to read the paragraph before they told us what to think.

  i had seen a video evens did where he said that jws now say if you gambling for entertainment its ok. anyone have any link to the cult actually in print or video saying this?.

  DPA Blood ASAP

  i am in need of the current copy of the newest dpa blood card as some of the jw's in my mothers congregation are asking about if she signed the latest copy after she passed today.

  i am curious as to why they are asking about this specifically and not offering condolences on the loss of my mother.

  there has been some shady interactions leading to my mother requesting me to talk to certain elders to request that certain people not interact with her further.

  Do You Think White People Are Being Discriminated Against?

  whatever you want to refer to as, in your opinion, are white people being unfairly picked on?

  it seems acceptable that if you are white you are viewed with disdain.

  What would happen to the Watchtower Org. if the recent UFO sightings were actually aliens ready to take over Earth

  navy and pentagon confirm sightings.

  us military is worried because the technology being used to drive these air vehicles are showing no signs of any sort of jet fuel.

  Not sure if it was official or not but I was of the understanding that the JWs don't believe in aliens because they would have already covered the question of sovereignty and gods right to rule. But if the never ending generation can't deter them I doubt a couple of aliens would change their minds. I'm sure they could spin it as the last of the last of the last of the last days.

  Clap for the Carers (or Don't it's Forbidden)

  so, in the uk, during the early stages of covid there was a groundswell of appreciation for the nhs for their front-line sacrifice.

  this was crystallised into a regular clapping/whistling/noise making session every thursday at 8pm.. "harmless" you would have thought, "a gesture of appreciation", "what could possibly be wrong with joining in on that innocent activity?".

  well, the co during his recent rounds had a different view.

  Big Cull of Foreign Language Groups and Congregations

  i overheard mrs eyeslice listening to '2021 governing body update 3' yesterday.

  apparently, they have started ditching foreign language groups and congregations as these weren't exactly roping anyone in.

  of course there is a positive spin on all this - '4,000 plus elders freed up to serve in local language congregations' and of course there has been immensely positive feedback from various branches about the benefits of this.. i suspect though there will be an awful lot of elders who were serving as king pins in these congregations who are going to have their noses put out by going back to local language congregations where they will barely be used.

  i have been in several congregations over the years.

  the hypocrisy was staggering.

  so many of these idiots were fake jws.some were strict followers and were as annoying as could be.

  PIMI family that you aren't willing to lose.

  Cheap semi-honest laborers.

  Derek Chauvin - The Right to a Fair Trial

  anyone following the derek chauvin trial?.

  if you are actually following it, not just listening to the media, you will likely realize that there is a huge gap between what is going on in court and what is being reported in the media.. if the trial was fair, i think he should be acquitted.

  there is plenty of reasonable doubt about the cause of death (his dealer doesn't want to testify because he could be guilty of 3rd degree murder for selling him a fatal amount of fentanyl) and even doubt over whether the officer even had his knee on the guys neck or did anything counter to what they were meant to do as per policy.. but is it fair?

  You'll never convince me that there isn't something going on against black people.
  

  I still remember and evening I was out with a family of black friends. We were leaving a convenience store and got pulled over for 110% nothing. That is unless you consider driving too carefully to be a problem. This dude literally was driving like a 70 year old man. The police didn't even offer up a pretense of why they pulled him over.

  Why Do People Loot and Destroy When Someone Gets Shot?

  someone gets shot and or killed and hundreds of people decide to loot and destroy businesses or whatever else is in their path.

  what does this do to make things better?

  i really don’t get how they think it makes things better or solves anything..
