Thank you. I do pray everyday, from the time I wake up to the time I go to sleep. I know there's a god and I know his son sacrificed himsef for us, and everyday I know I fail and sin because I am human. Everyday I ask for forgiveness and the patience to be a better person. I talked to my dad today, he was telling me about my brother and how he had a talk. My dad wasn't able to make it, my mom found out and let my dad know if she had known he wasn't going ,she would have. My parents just recently divorced, my dad isn't a jw. I thought it was interesting she didn't go to my brothers talk because my dad was going to be there....how is that love? how is that being christ-like? It shouldn't matter who's there...should it? I then lost it, mother's day is coming up and I'm not good enough for my own mother to talk to. Somewhere it gets easier, right? I know I sound like a whiner and mommy issues and whatnot, I guess I just don't understand how you can just STOP TALKING TO YOUR CHILD, because of difference of religion. I'm babbling and it's late, I'll be back later...just warning you! lol!! thank you all so much for your support....

Quentin, I have read your bio...a couple times. I still have my moments where I feel I shouldn't be here or maybe I don't belong, does that make sense? anyway maybe you can help me with my issue, how can I post my bio on my profile? I can't seem to figure it out. I have a story but the worst parts were on me, my own stupid decisions. I did learn from them though. I'm trying to get things worked out, there's a woman who was gracious enough to let me borrow her books, crisis of conscience and the one that follows that by ray franz. I'm anxious to recieve them and start reading. I'm hoping the books will allow me to validate or justify the feelings I have toward this mess. thank you.

It's an amazing feeling to be able to speak freely about what I feel and think and not have to worry about if I will be chastised for it or not. I do not hate JW's, I do not believe the way they do, I just finally get to be myself. Unfortunately it has a price...my family. I can only hope and pray things work the way god has meant for them to. I greatly appreciate all the support and love that has been shown to me, thank you.

Thank you for your insight, all of you. I have questions and I'm sure I always will, like, when you leave a religion you've been born and raised in, you're bound to have some sort of anxiety and seperation issues...right? if that's all you've known. If that is the case, then how is that brain-washing? some of my questions are simple, I know, some of them are not. What defines a "cult"? I've looked into these questions more than once and I never get the same answer twice. if anyone would be willing to help me, that would be awesome!

On a slightly different note, and an extremely odd request I know....does anyone have Ray Franz's "Crisis of Conscience"? and would you be willing to loan it to me? I've checked every book store and online site I can think of and either no one carries it, or they want around 200 dollars for a used copy.....if not that's ok. I'm guarded over my books too. : )
