it seems to me that most, if not all christians are really hung up on sin and redemption from sin and how naturally evil we all are.. my question, and observation is this : i had nothing to do with whatever you say adam and eve did wrong, i have always, throughout my life, treated whoever i came into contact with compassion, respect and love.. i have lived by the golden rule.. not many people, hand on heart, can say that, i can.. so, is your god going to judge me for the "sin" of some mythical forebears of mine ?
is he going to say that , because i did not believe in him, i willl be judged adversely, even though i lived by the precepts he is supposed to support ?.
all i can say is, if your god is like that, i refuse to worship or acknowledge him.. and i certainly do not want to get to know him.

A few months ago "undercover" had a post asking about bars in paradise.
I wonder about sex in paradise.
Matthew 22:30 says "At the resurrection people will neither marry nor be given in marriage; they will be like the angels in heaven."
So if there is no marriage in paradise and sex outside marriage is a sin then what??????
And the other thing. I everyone is like an angel in heaven then how can the pictures portraying paradise that the WTBTS prints be accurate?

as you know, i'm embroiled in a family and internet debate/dialogue w/jws the last few days.
and you all have been helping get great points in.
the text that i'm about to post come from a jw apologist who has acknowledge some of my comments about jws being a cult and that no tolerance for questioning them is one of the signs of a cult.
The desire or need to question things has more to do with personality traits than with the actual subject.
Some people naturally question everything and drawing them into a cult is near impossible. The same type of person born into a cult eventually leaves.
Some people only question their own judgement and rely on other people to interpret the world around them. They are drawn to cults or if born into one they are quite content to stay.
Each of these actually needs the other but they can rarely maintain a close intimate relationship.

based on certain families who i've known personally in the "truth", there was infidelity which resulted in children out of wedlock, drug abuse, abortion (involving an elder's teenager), verbal, emotional, & physical abuse (by parents and spouses), and dependence on public assistance.
There dysfunctional families in every facet of society.
I think the question should be "Is the dysfunction in dysfunctional JW families caused by the WTBS?"
do you tend to blame your problems on the fact that you were a jehovah's witness?.
I was never a JW. I married a wonderful girl who started into the cult 5 years into our marriage.
Now divorced after 31+ years I blame the WTBS for a big share of our problems.
No not everything. I surely have my faults and so does she besides being a JW.
People say you are where you are because of your own choices.
Well my choices when it came the the JW's would be compareable to driving a VW Beetle and having the choice of having a 80 mph head on collision whith a 80,000 lb 18 wheeler or driving off a 1000 ft cliff.
I can't help but say this again.
