Well I guess I always had the wrong assignments. Never ever have seen a bottle of wine. Well in the missionary-homes, sometimes, on our own expenses though.

I have worked at Chelmsford
by Val2020 ini have worked at chelmsford .
everybody seems so happy, but i couldn’t help wondering why all these volunteers give up their time and money, working for free for the future bethelites to live in such luxury .
all all the volunteers working there now will be kicked out on the street next year, with the lucky few laughing at the poor suckers who irked for free making this new bethel so amazing .

Val, what is over de top entertainment on fam night? Have you been there? I dont think so. What is so special about the food? In Brooklyn we were fed with corn, corn, corn and the great american colslaw. Never wine in a table or anything special, you are talking ....

Ted Jaracz - the Cardinal Ratzinger of Jehovah's Witnesses
by Dogpatch intheodore ("ted") jaracz1925-2010.
about 7:30, june 9, 2010, theodore ("ted") jaracz, one of the members of the governing body ruling over jehovah's witnesses, died.
previously, on may 19, 2009, he had had a serious stroke, but recently seemed to have made a big recovery, giving some assembly talks.

Publisher numbers versus baptised witnesses.
by amandm ini grew up as a witness, and left about 10 years ago, i'm currently researching witness numbers for a project i'm working on, and i can't seem to get an accurate number of baptised witnesses - hardly a surprise!
from their website it looks like they list the number of publishers instead of the number of baptised witnesses, so it totally works to obscure how many actual witnesses there are, apart from the fact it's morally dubious to class a publisher as a minister of god as they refer to publishers on their uk section of the site.
i also am trying to work out how many leave every year, even approximate figures would be great, from their own website it just looks like they try to massage figures to make them look as favourable as possible.

When a publisher fails to report 6 months on a row, he is inactive, and is not counted anymore (that’s how it used to be).
In my assignment I was the only elder for a year with more than 100 publishers. A lot of people in third world countries live without papers, bills, invoices. So to report was hard for them and many just forgot. Every six months, with the visit of the CO, I spent nights visiting families to ask them if they could remember hours, magazines etc. Every six months I used to ask the CO, a fellow missionary, to talk about it in local nec. If you didnt follow it up you had easily 20-30 inactives going out in fs just because they didnt film out their report.
