That's what is sad to me. When I came in, it felt like I was in college (I have never been in college, so that's probably not a good analogy). But there were many reference books, and the writing style back in those days was on a higher level (to me anyway). Now its just so repetitious and dumbed-down. I wouldn't be surprised to open the watchtower and see a coloring contest for the adults to take the place of the Sunday study...

while this post may not be entirely witness related, i figured i'd write out my thoughts here as a form of release and reflection.. recently, a lot has changed in my life.
i'm away from home for the first time in a long while training to get certified in a field i'm not even sure i want to work in anymore.
I look at it this way. You're chances of being alone are 100% if you don't try, so why not try? Even if there is only a 5% chance she'll respond, it's better than the 0% not trying gets you, right?
I guess I am saying, what's the harm in trying? You have nothing to lose and everything to gain.
As my "worldly" dad always said, "there's nothing wrong with practicing on a few women first, that way when you meet the right one, you'll be ready". So who cares if she isn't Mrs. Right, you'll at least get some practice!
so i'm thinking...my daughter has a great grand mother that was born in 1900. she was 14 years old in the 1914 year.. well this grand lady died in 1990. my daughter was about 9 years old at that time.
so my daughter can live until 2065.. she will be about 84 in the year 2065. so this "new light" means that 2065 is the new 1914?.

yesterday jw knocked on my door, i was sitting in the office with the window right next to it, they couldn't see me & i decided not to answer.
