  Those with children, do you want your children to be sexually active?

  i know that we all felt the witnesses were to over the top on their restriction on sex, but do we want our children to be sexually active the way we wanted to be?

  for example, should they have sex in high school with their girl/boy friends?

  should they not be committed to anyway, and just have sex with whoever feels good at the moment, or better yet, who ever is willing?

  It's should be ok if he gets over 18. Provided he understands that sex is not just an entertainment but it also comes with responsibility.

  i feel that parents should raise their children not to be religious but should have the children explore for themseves what is true.teaching a child that one religion is true is just wrong.. tell me what you think..

  Coming from a colorful background of hinduism and then converting to christianity, plus with the fact that I live in a moderate muslim country, I have come to realize that all religions come with pros and cons. As for my 9 year old son I let him know that it will be wise for him to show interest in religion when he is old enough to understand and accept the pros and cons. As for now I just teach him that having good morals and being honest is just fine.

  It makes me sick that Jehovahs Witnesses Kids cannot play organized sports but it is okay for them to watch others play.

  This is one of the reasons why I made a quick exit from WTS. I have a 9 year old son who loves to play sports and take part in after school activities. I was torn between my obligation to 'put kingdom interests first' and 'put my child's interest first'. I am glad I made the best decision ever.

  i've been receiving very bitter messages from jws i know, mostly my mother, but also others that know how to contact me electronically.

  sometimes i find myself mad at her, though not displaying it.

  but i know it's really not her or my fathers fault.

  I went in willingly so I have no one else to blame for my situation. I should have done a thorough research on JW prior to joining. At the moment I am only grateful that I escaped the cult in just 6 years.

  i did for a year.

  i falsified reports, had fake rv's, told groups i was meeting up with other groups and went home just to show a presense.

  i wasn't fading though, because of my situation i had to play like everything was fine.

  I stopped going door to door. Just like you I made up the hours and RVs. Then I realized I couldn't go on like this and that there was no need for me to put up with something that I stopped believing. I DA'd soon after.
