  Need Opinions -- Engaged to a JW!!

  ok, quick run down of my situation.. .

  1. i am not religious.

  my now-fiance was raised jw but left the religion about 10 years ago.. 2. we started dating last march, i got pregnant within two weeks.

  Hi June Bug welcome!

  I am a fading JW and one of the issues that I had hard time to accept was the refusal of blood transfusion. I have an 8 yr old son and should he need blood taransfusion in order to survive I would definitely go for it. Your man might be reasonable and understanding now but once he becomes an active JW, he will be turned into a human robot that takes in everything the WBTS teaches. Please do a thorough research on WT and if possible talk to EX JWs to get an inside picture on how the organization uses mind control on it's members.   what was your "back burner?"

  when i was studying in the truth book i laid aside quite a few questions, feeling that i was learning something important, and that those "nagging questions" would be answered in due course.

  most of those questions have gone unanswered because i was led along, like a stupid pig with a ring in his nose, by other pseudo-questions of, really, non-importance.

  i've had problems with conforming, if that is the word, with "correct speak" in the organization, and it has been apparant to most of the people i've known over the years.

  For me one of it was the education thing. Being a college graduate I could never accept the JW reasoning on higher education. Why can't one pursue a degree and worship God at the same time?

  I know life can be tough at times and we may not always be in control of the things that happen to us. Please talk to someone. If you feel there is no one to relate your problems you can always pour out your heart on this forum. Life is a gift Nebeska Nada , please don't give it up for anything.

  example: gravity is real.

  because if 607 bce is wrong, then so is 1914 and 1918 and 1919. very simple.

  so if we cannot trust secular research, then we can definitely discard the date of 607 bce.

  among the main characters was merlin, who in the book, was called "taliesen".

  I just read your earlier thread where you wrote about yourself. I commend you on your decision to stand firm on your beliefs. I wish I had your boldness to face up the elders say that I no longer want to be a JW. Best Wishes.

  well here i am drinkinin strongbow and stella mixed,, slurp fall over etc.. but the day has been shite, we are both out of work and just scrapping by with what we get from the dwp, nothing in the way of presents except from sleeping beauty and my kids god bless them.
