Are we really mortal?
by cptkirk inor could we be immortal?.
what is consciousness?
is it not the formation and function of the organ we call the brain?

"Who created the intelligent creator?"
by mankkeli indid the complexity of life arise spontaneously, or did it require a creator?christians believe that a creator is essential.
scientists believe that the idea of a "creator" is pure mythology, and that the complexity arose through natural processes like evolution.
you can actually answer this question yourself with a little logic.

Sinis, I believe in God. I believe God is the beginning of all things. I can't prove it scientifically, and do not pretend to, but it is my belief. So for me, the answer to your question about the beginning of matter and energy ultimately leads back to God.

I can't dislike anyone with a Captain Kirk avatar, myself.

OK, so WHERE did the energy come from?
I have an answer that satisfies me. Although I am open to more evidence and encourage investigation.
Why in theory and testing does time slow down outside of earth?
Time slows down because when you are in space, you are further away from Earth's gravity well.
"Outside the earth" is a big area.
In orbit, time flows faster than it does from our vantage point here--not slower.
Satellite clocks run faster than clocks on the Earth's surface. We are at the bottom of a sizable gravity well and it slows down time.
Now, if you find yourself deeper in some other gravity well off planet, such as at the bottom of Jupiter's atmosphere, then yes, time would flow slower there than from our point of reference on Earth, all other factors (such as velocity) being equal.

photons are matter.
Matter has properties that photons do not.
Mass is a property of matter. Matter also posesses volume (occupies space). Moreover, matter cannot travel at c or faster than c.
Photons have no mass and are point particles with 0 volume. Photons travel at c, and only c. There is no such thing as a photon "at rest."
Photons are not matter.
So no warp speed for you, and arm the photon torpedos.

I'd like to mention that moral arguments for or against God are off topic.

Why would the universe need a beginning, maybe the big crush theory is right. The universe expands then contracts and goes back into itself. They cycle continues.
But this runs afoul of the infinite regression problem. There would have to be a finite number of cycles to reach the current one. There would still have to be a first cycle. Check my last post for why.

Potential?
Some ideas apply "infinite potential" to God.
With Christians, there is no logical conclusion because their explanation is that the intelligent creator NEVER had a beginning.
Those that are arguing infinite regression are the ones that are illogical, imho.
There had to be a first thing, an uncaused cause. There can be no such thing as infinite regression. It is like a flat earther saying it is "turtles all the way down." To get to the current point in time, you would have to traverse an infinite number of points of time. Since every natural thing has a cause, to get to the current state of the Universe, you would have to traverse an infinite chain of linked events.
You cannot traverse an actual infinity. It is a logical impossibility. This goes all the way back to Aristotle. There had to be a beginning of the series, no matter what you want to call it. There had to be a first thing, an uncaused cause, that is not like any other thing that follows, since everything natural is caused.

Scientists believe that the idea of a "creator" is pure mythology,
No, only some of them do.
The complexity of life and the universe did arise completely spontaneously and without any intelligence. Nature created all the complexity we see today.
An intelligent creator created all of the complexity that we see today because complexity requires intelligence to create it.
The Universe started out exceedingly simple, and became progressively more complex later.
The problem with the second option is that it immediately creates an impossibility. If complexity cannot arise without intelligence, then we immediately must ask, "Who created the intelligent creator?" The creator could not spring into existence if complexity requires intelligence. Therefore, God is impossible.
This scenario contains a category error. It is perfectly reasonable to assume that some things belong to one category, and others to others. This affects the questions we ask.
For example, we look at an automobile and say: "who engineered it?"
We look at a watch and say "who designed it?"
These are perfectly valid questions regarding things in the category of automobiles and watches (which are things we make).
However, asking the same question doesn't apply to other things.
For example, when we see Angelina Jolie do we say "who designed her?"
When we see Barack Obama do we say "who engineered him?"
No we do not. Different categories, different questions.
God, by definition, is not the same category as natural things. He is supernatural by all theistic definitions I am aware of...and in some important strains of theistic thought, God is perfectly simple.
