As someone who used to be an attendant, I can say that they will not say or do anything to you unless you try to disrupt the meeting. If you want someone to get physical with you however, try walking onto the stage at an assembly. There are a couple brothers who sit there and their only task is to make sure no one, under any circumstances gets control of the microphone. I also was aware one summer of the visiting guy from Bethel having armed security, apparently those guys think they are targets.

I find it interesting that they advise people to conceal themselves in times of danger. Yet as soon as their preaching work is made illegal or banned, sometimes with life threatening consequences... they are proud to continue the work and are very happy to spread stories of meetings and even assembly being held in small groups but groups nonetheless when police or angry mobs are actively searching for them. What a Lovely double standard, how can we apply this in our time?

In the mid to late 1990’s there was several “talks” about not using any other literature to study the bible and they absolutely forbade (forbade? Forbided? Lol) anyone breaking into smaller groups or people having meetings in smaller groups. At one point it was popular for families in our circuit with teenage children to have dinner together on Friday or Saturday evening and then study the WT for the following Sunday. It was part book study part family study but mostly was used so parents could supervise whatever interaction their teenagers had with other teenagers specifically of the opposite sex. This eventually backfired when like minds started catching on to the complete BS in the magazines and they started studying publications not from WTBTS. This turned them into apostates and several elders were removed/reproved. I remember being about 17 or 18 and sitting through one of those lovely studies about marriage and sex while sitting across the room from my crush and her father. It was awesome.

I didn’t even think about the terror thing. Imagine how much egg they would have on their faces if Islamic Terrorists slammed a jet into the propaganda factory. Apparently god doesn’t protect his people… real estate agents do.
