Similar allegations had been brought against him years past but it was hushed by the elders and no charges were ever brought due to influence, another child has paid the price. The child came forward almost instantly and the local elders hushed the congregation almost as fast. The man was harbored by the elders until the family pressed legal charges. As of today the situation has yet to be addressed by the congregation however they have spread the word that regardless of what the results of a trial are... they alone can decide if he is really guilty.

  The world needs to know about this, please spread the word.

  i just wanted your thoughts on this situation.

  there was a young boy from my former congregatioin,he was about 5 years younger than me.. and his parents were overly strict with him.

  but,i think the combination of being witnesses plus being raised the old-fashioned,southern way themselves was a bad combo for their son.. anyway,he got a lot of beatings at the meetings.

  I am about to propose a radical new idea that will shake the congregation to its very core… ready? … sit down… here it comes….

  Brothers and Sisters: Mind your own damn business! What business of theirs is it if he talks to his parents or lets his parents see the kids and potentially open them up to similar abuses!?!?!? He is protecting his children!

  The man was ABUSED in the name of YOUR god in front of people just like YOU. They sat there in the KH listening to speeches about the great and loving god Jehovah while they could hear the child crying because he had just been beaten in the back room for doing what kids do. This religion is SICK and quite frankly a very serious legal inquest needs to be formed regarding the treatment of children the sexual and physical abuse not to mention the pure mental torture they subject their kids too is amazing.

  problem because you left jehovah and his organization.. ok, over the years my life have change drammatically.. a marriage that was doom from the start, a wife that.

  Interesting topic here….

  My wife and I left about a year ago and officially disavowed ourselves privately a couple months ago (we will tell anyone who asks we are not JW’s but I won’t recognize the WTBTS by writing a letter). Anyway, we are in our mid 20’s and were both born and raised in the cult. Our first few years of marriage we went from one disaster to the next our health, or relationship, our finances, our families, we didn’t have adequate employment and had no education other than High School Diploma’s and because of this our self-esteem was only as high as our field service hours…. Everything about our life was an insecure mess and we thought the only this would ever change was when “The New System” came along…whenever that was. Deep-down I knew that like my grandparents and my great grandparents I would live and die “in the last days” and so would my children and my grandchildren.

  Then one day I realized I was done, I wanted nothing to do with the witnesses so I started living a different life.

  I got a job that I could actually WORK at instead of spend my time trying to figure out who I could work 40 hours a week and then dedicate 2 evenings and at least 2 mornings a week to meetings/service then take a week off work each year for assemblies….

  Because I had a decent job … finances got better

  Because our finances were better the outlook on life certainly got better

  With an outlook on life that didn’t involve THE END OF THE WORLD as a viable retirement plan my relationship with my wife grew stronger…

  Now you say to yourself… well Satan didn’t do anything for you… freeing up your schedule did that… now hang on…

  I started smoking pot, lots of it. It helped me relax and literally helped free my mind. Obviously anything like this encourages demonic influence so there ya go… I play the lottery, not because I’m desperate but because I enjoy it… and I won… not MILLIONS but enough to encourage me to keep playing My wife is going back to school so she can better herself… her self-esteem has never been higher and I have quit drinking myself to death. I also did the unthinkable and registered to vote, now I have a say (a small one) in MY life and MY country and MY community I live here why shouldn’t I be involved? On top of that we have FRIENDS actual FRIENDS who want to be FRIENDS with us not based on how “spiritually strong” we are but based on US and our personalities… For the first time in my life not only do I have a positive outlook on my life but also my future.

  Both of our families … they are lost. Hopeless, they think the greatest blessing they could receive is quite literally the apocalypse. That is the ONLY thing that will end their suffering and misery.

  So overall… yea I guess by WTBTS standards… Yes, I have been more blessed by Satan than Watchtower’s god.

  For the most part, if “witness” people realize that you do not share their beliefs anymore they will unofficially shun you almost instantly. This happened to my wife and I a couple years ago. We were recently married and were friends with a couple other couples who were guzzling the cool-aide by the gallon. We hung out several times a week and except for meeting nights were almost always at one of our houses for dinner. Over the course of a summer my wife and I quit going to meetings and unapologetically skipped the spring, summer and fall assembly. After we didn’t go to the summer assembly and didn’t provide an excuse the invitations quit coming. Eventually the only time we heard from them was when they wanted something or when they wanted to bring a Sheparding call through (that was cute). Now that we have had a year to detox we realized what a toxic relationship it was. Basically all we would do is get together and drink ourselves stupid while talking about WTBTS and their latest BS, however back then it was not considered BS it was gospel. I was open about not agreeing with everything and we can almost track the end of contact back to the WT article that basically said “you either agree with us 100% or you’re an apostate” being that I openly disagreed with several things that pretty much made me an apostate and now that I am an apostate I am now Mentally ill…. Ahh the irony of being called mentally ill by the largest CULT on in the world…
