  Should There be a Petition Asking the Watchtower Society to Retract its "Mentally Diseased" Statements?

  of course, i would be very surprised if the watchtower society ever retracted or apologised for anything.

  still, it could gain a lot of publicity and put pressure on them to curb their hate speech.

  if they refuse to apologise, it could demonstrate that those statements were intentional and not just a slip of the printing press.

  I think their articles should go to the authorities and to the UN. Definitely against human rights. (Shunning and so forth)

  Notice that in the magazines, they always talk about the "disfellowshipped" ones engaging in "some type of gross sin" and that's what got them kicked out. They never use the "apostate" scenario. Because it is implied that they are included in the shunning. Just imagine what people would start thinking if in the article it read -

  ... "...once the relative is disfellowshipped for no longer believing that the Faithful and Discreet Slave (governing body) is trustworthy due to false predictions or whatever else they feel the Society is wrong about, we would do our best to not even eat a meal with these ones."

  IF GAYS and MINORITIES are protected...(And the WATCHTOWER as most religions are)...those that leave the organization should be protected as well. It baffles me to no end that the FBI, UN, ... no one is looking into this. These people go DOOR TO DOOR carrying the message of death hidden between the pages of those crappy magazines. My plea is.. "APPLY PREASSURE!" (my new motto)

  Overlapping generation segment on the new Circuit Assembly program

  so there i was at the circuit assembly sunday morning with my eyes glazed over as usual when all of a sudden, bam!

  a demo with two brothers talking about the new overlapping generation teaching.

  the reason it took me by surprise was because it occured during the second talk of the sunday morning symposium, "sanctify god's name by your speech".

  Yeah!!! We had our assembly earlier this month. That part (demo) was so dumb...and the funny thing about it was watching people nod their heads in agreement as if they understood that crap. Even the way it was said then is still confusing. They need the GENERATION to keep the SLAVE CLASS going. Plain and simple. If they don't understand that,...then they are just dumb. End of story. The GB need it in order to maintain control. It was wrong from the beginning of the doctrine to now.

  This is what happens when you MAKE UP a doctrine and then find a scripture to back up the doctrine. Instead of basing a doctrine on scripture.

  I hope the Governments squash the Watchtower. Send them to FEMA camps and end them.

  I remember once, from the platform, a brother was giving a talk and gave an experience about an ailing brother. Old, sickly, but still averaged 12 or more hours a month. "If I died while out in service, teaching others about Jehovah at least I know I've lived my life to the full, doing what he commanded." .... GTFOH!

  hi everyone, i am going through the dec 15th study edition of the wt thanks to a tip-off that this issue is now available online at jw.org.. in the article "guided by god's spirit in the first century and today" on page 25 there is a bizarre argument put forward by the society about the difference between spirit-anointed and spirit-appointed.. this touches on a subject that i have often wondered about, which is this.

  why are spirit anointed brothers and sisters (memorial partakers) not given positions of oversight in the congregation by default?

  i know it sounds like a stupid question, but please think about it for a moment.

You would think that NO ONE would ever mess up their chance at the "HEAVENLY HOPE", right?...so, to me people who say they are annointed....are all full of SHYT. How come there are no articles giving the experiences of ones who were/are annointed??? What was it like when they were selected? What happened in that moment when they found out?? Yeeeeeah, BS!

  i've noticed there are a few excellent threads on here about sunday's 9/11 watchtower study.

  my own analysis of its more blatantly farcical claims (including that of apostates being "mentally diseased") can be seen here.. what i really wanted to know is - what has the fallout been?

  has it created any horror-stories within people's families or homes, etc?

  I'll post a thread (maybe tomorrow) about our Assembly ("Sanctify God's Name")...it was very interesting (in a dull/bad way). I felt so out of place, and the DEBIT Card machines!!!!! --- priceless (literally)

  Oh...during the announcements, the brother made it a point to mention that the machines can be pulled forward for those in wheelchairs so that they can access and see the buttons. (I lie to you not!) $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
