well, recently an elder's wife was DF'd and they've moved to another cong. in the area. I hope she spills the beans on that. She was pretty hot. I'm guessing what the reason could've been. Probably watching those Vampire movies. LOL

Elder's wives
by Zordino ini still go to meetings (sometimes) mostly to acompany my wife and kids.
i have known of jw friends of mine that have gone to elder's for family problems, dispute's with other cult member's or those hemroid's that just won't clear up.
whatever.... i personally never ever told an elder or elder's a stitch of info about my personal life or trouble's etc.

Funny!... the JWs will think that the money will pay for the new facilities in Warwick, the World-Wide preaching work...and the "building fund"...you know...to have Kingdom Halls built b/c of all of the "groooowth".
no one ever thinks...Since the "religion" Jehovah's Witnesses and its members are SEPARATE from the "Watchtower Bible and Tract Society" (remember...that's the CORPORATE entity that supplies literature etc. to Jehovah's Witnesses) who has a CEO etc. that are NOT even Annointed (or do not HAVE TO BE)...where does all of the money go? Someone has to live, eat, sleep somewhere and it takes FUNDS to do it. It is not cheap to travel the world and oversee a business/religion.
Members suffer, lose jobs, struggle financially...and I've NEVER heard of someone in the congregation being helped monetarily. A worldy cousin of mine is a deacon at a church and the church raised enough money to help one of its members fix major damage to their home.
I hope they get a clue.

No BS... I would've gotten the local news involved. But first, I would've told them "I'm not going ANYWHERE!" I'd probably threaten to call security.
I have lots of "worldy" relative and I KNOW one or two of them would've cursed them out. The Nerve! They visit people in the Hospital to make sure they're not taking blood transfusions. Acting as if salvation rests in THEM! they go as ELDERS, not as FRIENDS.

Those parts were a bunch of Bullshyt!
Just say it... GB doesn't want people finding Apostates or keeping in touch with Disfellowshipped persons via Facebook etc. They don't care about your identity (theft) or safety!!!! I've had worse association and more flirting at a kingdom hall, fs, or convention than on Facebook!
The fact is this. If they really cared about the gospel/message/good news getting out there to people...the WATCHTOWER would have their own pages up (like many other companies that have facebook and Youtube channels)...you could reach the whole world. But NOOOOO.....they'd rather have you drag your broke ass out of bed...use the little bit of gas you do have to ride to a neighborhood you probably don't even live in, to knock on doors ...and for what???
IT IS ALL LIES...IT IS ALL BULLSHYT!

Why are there two Watchtowers published? The real reason
by exjehovah inso i talked to my dear aunt who is disfellowshipped but still has to interact with my elderly jw witness and masquerading jw aunt (really doesn't agree with the jw doctrine, but lives with my grandmother to take care of her) and she told me that there are now two watchtowers published, one that they use for congregation and the other for their "field service".. why do you suppose they are really doing that?
is it because they are trying to keep things from the public eyes?
i was really surprised to hear that..

@ Witness M.F., the difference was not so great. Scriptures sited were the same etc., but I did wonder why they would do that if they want everyone "IN HARMONY" (hate when people say that when commenting). The only reason I could think of, was to make sure the bros and sis. are getting the full study mags, making their monetary donations for them, versus printing the articles from online (where you use your own paper).
If everyone printed articles...why donate $ for what you can get at home.
But yeah, the changes were different enough that one could not keep up without a mag. Whole sentences were flipped around, some words were missing, other words were just substituted with a different word.

forget 2 watchtowers published.... WHY WERE THERE 2 STUDY EDITIONS??? I printed one off the .org site...got to the Hall, and noticed that the printed study edition magazine that everyone else had was worded differently. never had that happen before. I wasn't the only one that noticed it either. I heard a sister ask her husband "Why did they do that?" YAY!

Why the hell do I feel like this suddenly?!?!
by freshstart intoday i saw a friend that is still a hardcore jw.
she knows we're not going to meetings, but seemed pretty cool with it and was willing to have lunch with me, so i thought why not?
she mentioned something about the convention coming up in a couple of weeks, and all of the sudden i got so nostalgic and felt like maybe i wanted to go.

soon as they start bashing your current viewpoints, you'll probably be reminded of why you left. Once I'm out, I'm neeeeeever going back. If I were to go to a meeting I'd raise my hand repeatedly just to see if they'd call on me. (fantasized about it) It would be kinda funny

I have a question regarding" free" magazines
by smiddy insince they no longer charge for mags at the doors do the publishers carry this cost ?i used to be a literature servant and you never gave away mags unless they were old and out of date to be left at doctors waiting rooms etc.
not at peoples homes ,otherwise householders would expect to get them for free.
in other words do the publishers pay for the mags and give them away for free?

WHAT TWISTY SAID!
They want double the "contribution". But when I go door-knocking (which is very rare) I gladly drop a few dollars (2 or 3) in the box, grab magazines and give them away. I don't ask for "voluntary donations" or anything. I'll read a scripture (a happy one...about the REAL GOOD NEWS) then I tell them "I do have some magazines with me if you're interested. You're free to flip thru them and if you see an article you're interested in, you can have them."
I had a brother say "I noticed you don't ask for the contributions" I told him "Oh, I already took care of it back at the hall. Its on me. Plus I keep in mind the scripture that speaks of christians giving the good news FREELY just as it was given to us."
Even though I'm on my way out...I figure instead of being too rebellious...I'll show them the manner of a TRUE CHRISTIAN now and hope they remember it and wonder about it when I'm finally OUT.

I wish my wife would violate some JW rules...but she's too rank and file for that. Even if a comedy act on Comedy Central has more than 2 "beeps"...she changes the channel. Always feeling guilty and gives the longest comments at meetings. Its a drag. I can't comment b/c I'm on reproof, so I bet people wonder "he was such a fine brother, what happened? hope their kids will be okay." yeah right.
You should get a book by the auther ZANE. see if he reads that! LOL
