  I think that maybe now, the writers even know its all bull crap. Back in the day, people really had a zeal for it and BELIEVED in it. Now everyone KNOWS that its crap. Hey, there's more of US than THEM! They need to just tell us that Illuminati uses the org to make pocketchange and that we can all go on with our lives if we want.

  this has already been discussed but i need to vent.. i just spent the most painful weekend of my life sitting thru this years dc.

  what an unbelievably pointless, soulless and demeaning spectacle the assemblies are.

  the three days were a blur of monotanous droning and brainwashing.

  @Outlaw, Godrulz may be right tho. At my conventions (for the past 3 yrs) there's been plenty of people (outsiders of course) wearing Jeans, or shorts to the convention. Maybe its all they have. I've also seen young guys (who's parents are JWs at least) that aren't baptized walking around with suits, but have sneakers on their feet...in a ghetto fabulous kind of way. LOL (I'm 1/2 black, 1/2 white before anyone asks.)

  The Convention was boring, but this year had plenty of Apostate bashing. Pretty much telling everyone that you're dumb if you even question the "WORD OF GOD" and "GOD'S INSTRUCTIONS AS PASSED DOWN THRU THE FAITHFUL AND DISCREET SLAVE" Guess people will second guess going to those "apostate" sites. FUNNY HOW so few wonder "Why are they so scared of these Apostates?"

  my now-fiance was raised jw but left the religion about 10 years ago.. 2. we started dating last march, i got pregnant within two weeks.

  Yeah, little do they know...those that run the org. (that are ABOVE THE GOVERNING BODY) are closer to Satan, than the GOD they claim to serve. They are the ignorant ones, to listen and be fed that garbage and never use their own minds to research and check it out for themselves.

  WHY have District Conventions??

  during sunday's program of the dc..."donations" came up and there was mention of using "debit and credit cards" wow!....

  so i started thinking... we have an assembly hall in our town?

  10 mins from where we have our conventions.

  So I started thinking... We have an Assembly Hall in our town? 10 mins from where we have our Conventions. Why not have our bro's and sisters from our State just meet there. Why rent out a coliseum?

  Imagine how much it would cost the WTBTS if they were charged for the "clean up" at these events. Guess FREE LABOR comes in handy. Thousands of dollars are saved I bet.

  Yeah its funny, and at the same time....looks like the INTERNET is REEEEEEALLY opening peoples eyes. Enough that the WTBTS has to give attention to it. I bet many...many...many ppl are leaving or at least becoming curious about what's said about the SOCIETY online. Can't stop information!
