  to recall an illustration: if i poured you a tall cool glass of water then dipped my finger into it right after dipping it into toilet water, would you still want to drink it? this illustration was just used in our sunday PT to disqualify false teachings of "christendom" same principal should be applicable to WTS publications / teachings....am i still being too picky?

  yep they took a statement from someone supposedly a "researcher" who made the claim the recently retracted it saying the source was unreliable. said they no-longer will reference that "fact" but they have no problem passing out a brochure which still has the mistaken "fact" without credit for its source so it looks as if they are stating it as fact...PM me for more details if needed.

  actually i am appalled and dismayed that they are asking 7 million to distribute something which has at least one flawed "fact" they have had plenty of time to retract this as the "offer for july" but didnt..........makes me think they just want to liquidate inventory and offer a revision...should be telling all to dispose of it....

  Funniest Thing to happen during a meeting?

  i am sure all of us have laughed at something that happened at the kingdom hall or assembly.. the first one i can think of is a brother giving a talk on voting and saying " why is it that men sit iin pubs and discuss how bad the economy is and the cost of everything and yet when the 'erection" (election) comes up they never do anything about it.. my brother in his best beavis n butthead voioce said " huh huh he said erection".

  we sat for the next 45 mins trying hard not to laugh.. of course, i got the look from the elders and the talk about not laughing.. .

  short but sweet, in the last couple months there was a WT Study, I was reader, don't remember the exact article but was within last 2 months, subject of expecting end to come any day, conductor asks "who here thinks armageddon is coming tomorrow?", expecting of course EVERYONE raising their hands, to his surprise, NO-ONE at all raised their hand! (cue crickets)...funny...almost busted out laughing but since on stage facing all, had to contain...

  yea and these hypocrites try to council married ones how to have a better marriage and how to raise your children...im an MS currently in good standing, but have told a couple elders already to back off from any council to my wife and daughter because of their stupidity and bogus modesty council..... if they have anything to say they will come to me....im 6 foot 5 and 300 + lb's ...so far they have kept at bay....ha ha ........
