Yes, I LOVE baseball! Unfortunately, living in northeast Ohio, my team is the Cleveland Indians, whose perpetual slogan is "there is always next year" . The Indians disprove the idea that there is no crying in baseball. I have watched this impressive young lady, she is awesome! Power to the women! I have read that even the major league players are watching her on TV when she pitches and are amazed at her talent.

I agree with what so many of you have said. And yes, if you grew up in the cult, you have so much of that conditioning to get out of your head. And if you still have family in, well you can pick out so many of the JW mindset traits and the same, expected reactions to many things. They have lost all individuality.
And keyser sore, (I LOVE Ian McShane in his Lovejoy days), articles from 50 years ago may seem irrelavent, but they prove how crazy and changing this religion is, and so many of the newer ones have no idea of it's history. If something was "the truth" it would not be unrecognizable from it's beginnings, no matter how much time has passed. Sad part is, they don't care or explain it away, or make excuses. But there is a lot to nitpick about, like how they nitpick over many things, like wedding traditions; they pick and choose which ones are pagan (all of them if you want to be honest and go back far enough) and which ones they will allow. Just saying.

Wow more heavy artillery propaganda from the 11/14 WT!!!!!
by BU2B inevery paragraph and every article in this issue is nonstop heavy artillery fire propaganda.
i have never seen a wt so full of logical fallacies, appeals to emotion, appeals to authority, guilt tripping and bite techniques all in one issue!
paragraph 9 states clearly that even though the gb is imperfect, that does not matter, we must obey them anyways.

More JW bragging about the Landover, MD. convention. Please have barf bag at the ready before reading
by AndDontCallMeShirley inthe following e-mail is circulating among jws about the international convention at fedex stadium in landover, md.
note the all-too-familiar jw claims: everything they do (including the simple act of parking cars) is proof of jehovah'stm blessing, and everything wt did at the convention was the fastest, greatest, best ever.
oh, and the never-fails-to-get-mentioned alleged 'persecution'/resistance from some unnamed authority who tried to get in watchtower's way and hamper the effort...but jws prevailed anyway (as always):.

The arrogance of these people knows no limits. How absurb to think that a loving god would be concerned with parking JW cars rather than do something about...say children dying from famine, social injustice, poverty, you name it, but by golly those JWs got their cars parked, "evidently" setting records along the way!

Mum Loved that one too. Another great series is the Chet & Bernie mysteries by Spencer Quinn, also narrated by Chet the Dog..really good stories and Chet is a hoot. BizzyBee, that series was addictive and best read in order also, especially the last few since the storyline overlapped. I love good detective mysteries that aren't full of blood and gore and females in peril.

Shark Navigator Lift-away vs Dyson
by Bonnie_Clyde ini already have a dyson, but we have three floors in our house, and i don't like carrying it up and down stairs...it's so heavy (bad back).
just saw a sale at costco for the shark for $119...a lot cheaper than dyson.
anybody have an opinion if you think it's worth it as a second vacuum..

You are welcome. Hope you like it. People might think it is trivial to discuss sweepers, but if you use them a lot and have a multi level home with carpeted stairs, you appreciate a good light weight sweeper!

I have the Shark Lift Away, have had it almost a year, and it is the best vacuum I have ever had! So awesome I got one for my daughter. I have flights of stairs to sweep and it is so lightweight, it is unbelievely easy to use. I have 4 cats in my house so I sweep most everyday, you wouldn't believe how much it picks up. I love it and would recommend it. I have used many, many brands of sweepers (I am a pet/house sitter and often use clients sweepers). I dont care for Dyson, they are crazy to figure out the attachments and are so heavy. I have found the most expensive sweepers are the least user friendly. Hope this helps.

The 3 Pines mystery series by Louise Penny, featuring Chief Inspector Gamache, taking place in Quebec. There are 9 of them, her 10th coming out later this month. Start with "Still Life", but warning, don't be hungry when you read these, the food descriptions are mouth watering.

I think he has just come from a Kingdom Hall mind cleansing. Either that, or he has an extremely succinct way of putting things.
