the watchtower magazine has used the word "soon" on many an occasion to point out to its readership how near armageddon really is.. a word that can mean anything, in effect, actually means nothing.

You should check out the springs and crystal river is a MUST for divers and snorklers as is Ginnie springs/ichetucknee area!
The springs in Florida have clear water and it's fun to snorkle with the manatees. They enjoy human contact and will swim over for a scratching. Although I was there in the winter when they are abundant, there are some that stay in certain Florida springs all year.

well, one third of the convention is over, i had no choice but to attend due to my current situation.. the talks were worse than last year, and as usual if you have seen the program you will not find jesus in any of the talk titles - in fact, the only time jesus is mentioned is during a prayer or in connection with the ministry.. when you become aware of how sidelined jesus is, you can't help but notice that jehovah's witnesses are a modern version of the old testament religion - it's all about control, be attentive, obey the "faithful and discreet slave" etc etc, in stark contrast to belief and salvation through jesus.. only the talks with midly interesting material or that had ridiculous phrases used by the speaker are shown here.. friday.

Yosemite Park is incredibly beautiful. I've hiked in there three times. You can do the brutal trail up to the top of Half Dome and back in one day if you're a strong bastard and don't mind walking bowl-legged for a few days after. I recommend you take the mule up and hike down though. Just being there is awesome.
