Saw it this weekend. Bill Maher mines the hapless interviewees for all the comic gold he can and the result is a hilarious expose, not only on religion but human nature in general. Even believers would have to give creedence to many of the questions Maher asks.

close-minded religious people should save their money and not go see this movie but instead give your money to the next tv evangelist or street magician you see.

The new Ice Age Cometh!

i hope this link works but there has been virtually no sunspot activity since the beginning of this year and the suns magnetic field is down 60%.. if this link does not work, you might like to try googling: sunspot activity 2008 iceage.. the last time this happened we moved into a little ice age which lasted from 1100 to 1800.. global warming lies may well have met their match with reality.. so how will they tax us for the 'ice age?
do we get our tax back that we paid because of 'global warming'.. is this why they have made fuel so expensive....because they know what is coming and they want to make a killing?.

Euthanasia?
by MegaDude inanyone against euthanasia if you are sick with a terminal disease and you don't wish to die a protracted death?.
i have thought about this a lot since a coworker's grandfather here in the u.s., dying painfully of cancer, drove around and saw his relatives one final time and then killed himself.
they found him in a car by the side of the road.

If you are suffering a disgusting agony, who would condemn you? Of course some Christians say this is wrong - but they think God tortures people vilely in Hell, what's a few months longer?
Many Christians want to "leave it in God's hands." Yet I don't see belief in a diety as a sound reason to abdicate choice or responsibility in this area. Christians are pretty proactive in trying to save life and prolong life through artificial means. Why don't they just leave it in God's hands?
I cannot believe a loving God would condemn anybody for having had enough.
Agreed.
According to the Witless arguments, even witlesses throwing themselves off the fortieth floor of a blazing hotel will not get a resurrection - they chose to commit suicide, rather than be fried alive. The Catholic Church teaches the same.
Yes. A co-worker of mine committed suicide when he was looking at jail time for another DWI/car accident. He had a lot of other problems. At the funeral I remember a couple of individuals privately commenting that he wouldn't get to heaven because of his suicide. One said, "Well, you know where he is now." Sheesh.

This is a can of worms that has a history of abuse just look up euthanasia on the web
Everything human beings get involved in turns into a can of worms. It's the human condition. That shouldn't prevent us from having the facilities readily and legally available should one wish to take artificial means to leave this life when one chooses.

They found him in a car by the side of the road. He did it with a pistol. I thought how sad it was that he had to kill himself in such a risky way but also alone.

Since you on the right won't answer this question. Abortion
by dawg ini posed this question on another thread... namely burns and hooberus...wouldn't answer, so i thought i'd ask it again in an open thread..., .
you on the right disagree with roe v wade... so that means that you want to redefine when a zygote, embryo, or a fetus has what anyone would rule for lack of better words "the right to life"... .
exactly when is life, human as per your definition?
