Agree with the above poster.

You feel miserable for a while, maybe a long while, then it begins to leave you and you get your equilibrium back.

You're doing the right thing for you and for your children. You don't have to let yourself be used. Do not get yourself more financially entangled with an irresponsible person.

Do we have the right to tell Iran that they can not have nuclear weapons?

i was looking at a list today, of countries that have nuclear weapons.

i always think of the united states, russia, france and china.

what shocked me, were pakistan, and india also have nuclear weapons.

The countries that have something to gain will support Iran in becoming a nuclear power. The ones that don't will be against it.

i sit in my bathroom on a daily basis, using the facilities.

as i do this, to pass the time i will sometimes look at the pattern in the wallpaper or floor and see if i can make out things.

at times i think it looks like a face, or maybe the shape of a object or country.

i've had the same avatar here for some time.

i've tried to change it, but overwhelmingly you guys seem to enjoy the evil little thing, so i always put it back.. so, here is my proposition:.

i will change my avatar at the end of today (well, my work day at least, 5pm cdt) and it will remain that for a period of at least a month.

Jesus Camp, the movie. Trailer freaked me out.

sorry if this has already been discussed, but i haven't been around too much.

anyway, i heard an interview with the directors of the film the other day, and was compelled to check out the website.

it's a movie about x-tian kids going to these bible camps and i'll tell you, the trailer (in the download section) freaked me right out.

It was not easy to sit through. Like going back to the kingdom hall after a long absence. I felt so sorry for the children. They are mind-raped before your eyes. They literally had tears streaming down their intense faces as they looked heavenward apologizing for their "sins." The people that run the Jesus Camp are nutters and disgusting. If you see the film, notice their personalities. There wasn't a single one that gave off a vibe of peace or joy or warmth. These are hardcore, angry, militant evangelicals that are bigoted in their faith. They are raising their children to be just like them.

One of the ministers of a big evangelical church is interviewed in the film and supposedly speaks with President Bush every Monday. The minister comes off as an arrogant jerk for Jesus. If this is President Bush's spiritual mentor, it explains a lot.
