I hope your daughter gets well.
If they thank Jehovah, just tell them they shouldn't call you that. Lol...

i took an elderly friend to the meeting last night.
the study is in the "imitate their faith" book which is merely a compilation of previous short stories about bible characters that were featured in a series of watchtower articles.. they waste no time beginning their spinning and supposition with the cain/abel story.
Yeah we had a fakey tract presentation too. It was crazy unrealistic.
The dramatic reading was awful like you said. Sounded like Lett had a cold on the recording. Also noticed Geoff Jackson also on the reading. Nice that they are always in the forefront. So heartwarming.
It was a pretty bad example actually of one of those readings. I have heard better. That was not worthy of a part on the meeting in my opinion. It was terrible. Maybe good enough for the site, but in the back of the site somewhere lol.
The poor brother at our hall had to fake enthusiasm after the reading was done. The hall was completely deadpan when it was over. Like just dead air for a few seconds. This is what Boredom feels like, I thought to myself. lol.
for the next two weeks, wt will attempt to lay the basis for their imitation "faith" by discussing the "imitate their faith" book, chapter on the flood.
a golden opportunity to share faith strengthening details with your believing friends.
do not miss it!.
Good point.

Dang stillin, that is so true.
Mindless zombies nodding their heads and regurgitating the paragraph. Nuts...
the watchtower corporation is ripping the carpet out from under sincerity.. they teach that god knows our private thoughts, the inclinations of our heart.
how can they possibly think that it's okay to dangle a drivers license in front of a teenager under condition of baptism?
how can they possibly think it is okay to dangle renewed association with family under condition of reinstatement?.

Fink- yeah i forgot about that. The organization is the ark. Fear-mongering much?
I recently read an explanation of why so many ancient cultures have a flood story.
Everybody basically believed the earth was flat.
So, if you are living in your ancient village, and a huge flood comes and destroys your home and flood waters are as far as the eye can see, then you automatically assume the whole earth flooded. It's flat remember? So 20 ft of water floods the whole earth. Lol.
So all these goofy uneducated paranoid ancient people with their flood stories that were passed down from generation to generation and exaggerated, prove absolutely nothing.

Noah's mother, brothers, and sisters ---**have perished in the flood".
Another attempt to drive a wedge between family members in the congregations.
Translation - Be loyal to the GB to the point of losing all your family.
It's really just recently completely sunk in for me how synonymous their use of "Jehovah" is with "organization" "governing body" "kingdom" etc. It's all just loyalty to them. They are saying the exact same thing with all of the various phrases. There is no Jehovah without the GB in their theology. "Draw closer to Jehovah" means getting more bought in to the org's agenda. "Put Jehovah first" means put the org first in your life. There is no meaningful separation of terms. So it's pure manipulation and deceit.
So when they say we should follow Noah's example of loyalty to Jehovah, they are just using a passage of scripture to coerce loyalty to them. Again,no separation of terms whatsoever.

Totally agree.
If the organization were a person, that person would not be a Christian.
It isn't humble as you say. It isn't open or honest. It most definitely stores up for itself "treasures on earth". It doesn't live with "the end in mind".
That's just a sampling.

wow wow wow wow
what a joke...
I wonder how much of their money was lost to Madoff?
I'm just sayin' ... If I were Almighty God the Creator of the Universe and I had one organization I backed and supported, I would not let it get into a situation like this for it to embarrass itself and me.
