  No prologos, ignorant and idiot are not the same thing. ignorant is a definition of someones status of knowledge or data, I am ignorant of cricket and baseball and Hollyoaks.

  Had my upbringing included a decent education I would have realsied this earlier and not been so offended at fact. Its basically being offended and angry with a dictionary. All the best with that prologos.

  ps no offence was taken at your personal comment, I realise it was just ignorance of the meaning of 'ignorant'.

  But you have your own definition of apostate. I am not an apostate.

  I was a pioneer, I was a bethelite, I was of 'missionary' status, I was used for district assemblies, I was not disfellowshipped, I was asked to stop attending after I enquired about The Watchtower Society owning a military company via the stock market (Rand Cam) and had issues with them having an NGO status with the UN.

  I did leave following much research and painful realities, I am now 33, a trainee medical doctor and of no religious leaning. My intetrests are only for what is evidently true. Despite what the 8 men in Brooklyn say, you can trist your own mind and thinking, so start using it. Those men are humans too, if they can think, you can!

  I will leave you be now, but feel free to PM me, I advise you read the book by Governing Body Member R.Franz who left the organisation following a "Crisis of Conscience" (also the name of his memoirs) after becoming a member of the Governing Body and seeing how the organisatiom was run.

  I wish you well in your search for the real truth, my only advice would be to keep your mind open, trust nobody but yourself (only you know your motives, you dont know other peoples) and seek and actually, physically, literally read all the information yourself. DONT TRUST QUOTES OR SUMMARIES, read the original sources yourself.

  Can you demonstrate that statement?

  .....or are you just ticking more boxes for 'cult' status, not to mention being a little ignorant, uninformed and .....immature. Don't worry I forgive you, I was the same once. Seriously, read the following list for cult and fear....

  • Excessive use of fear
  • Fear of thinking independently
  • Fear of the "outside" world
  • Fear of enemies
  • Fear of losing one's "salvation"
  • Fear of leaving the group or being shunned by group
  • Fear of disapproval
  • Phobia indoctrination: inculcating irrational fears about ever leaving the group or even questioning the leader's authority. The person under mind control cannot visualize a positive, fulfilled future without being in the group.

  • No happiness or fulfilment outside of the group
  • Terrible consequences will take place if you leave: hell, demon possession, incurable diseases, accidents, suicide, insanity, 10,000 reincarnations, etc.
  • Shunning of leave takers; fear of being rejected by friends, peers, and family
  • Never a legitimate reason to leave. From the group's perspective, people who leave are "weak," "undisciplined," "unspiritual," "worldly," "brainwashed by family or counselor," or "seduced by money, sex, rock and roll."

  As for your refernce to your religion saying it itself is not a cult, you are once more ticking boxes for 'cult'

  * Access to non-cult sources of information minimized or discouraged

  Perhaps, not getting all your information from one source (i.e. Your religious oeaders) , would be a good start for people pondering their belief systems and cult status.

  'Brother Mike' your definition of apostate is what?

  Anyone leaving a belief system is an apostate, I assume you feel that nobody can legitimatly leave a religion? Maybe come back and ask questions once your mind matures.

  oh and concerning your comments about the elders manual, that itself ticks a few boxes under 'cult'
