something happened this week to make me think about this again.. it feels like all bets are off and i really don't know what a good person is anymore.. when i left the jws i was so sure i knew what it meant to be a good person.. this has been revised many times since.. i tend to favour the utilitarian approach, the greatest happiness for the greatest number of people.. sometimes you have to stick your neck out and say this is not good for me no matter what others may feel they need from me.. no idea where i'm going with this maybe this is a breakthrough in my life or maybe that glass of wine was stronger than i thought!.
any thoughts?.
For me good has come down to motive and intention. 90% of people are decent good people. For me personally, evil does not exist. Evil is a bizzare religious concept. A siding with satan over god being its foundation. if we take that away, we are left with a difference in nature and nurture altering an individuals oersoective of the world.
A bad person used to mean someone who didn't highlight or underline a free bi-monthly american magazine.....

A shameful mis-educational book. When I think of all the bad things WT have told us/sold us..... this was the most deceptive piece of work they ever had me read and consume. This book alone is unforgivable, the deceit is staggering.....

public speaking i hate hate hate any form of public speaking.
job interviews, presentations (for job interviews or in the work environment), telephone interviews etc.
Parents and WT underestimate the fear of satan and demons that kids carry around...... it is profound. you never hear WT telling the youth not to watch horror movies...because they aren't watching them!!!
until I asked myself one day...'wait a minute what exactly have I ever seen or experienced personally..." the answer being ...'nothing', i too was in fear even as a young man.
i will miss that young mans highly entertaining, insightful and memorable material.
i am happy for him as he is moving forward in his life.. his jc hearings i listened to while sitting with my father in icu for so many weeks.
i would anxiously look forward to the next installment.
Hope he is ok, a good guy, the kind of thinking young man that is alienated and seperated out in the WT world. Importantly he is more than welcome here & in the real world....
i ask this because of an experience over the weekend when two witnesses came to my door , and he tried to use his i-pad to witness to me, which i wasnt intersted in.. my theory is this is going to backfire on them .
the majority of people in christendom , whether they practice it or not have a reverence , if not a deep respect for the written word , the bible , as a holy book.
a sacred book.. i dont beleive a householder who is a christian is going to be impressed by someone who quotes scriptures from an i-pad.. religous books have been considered sacred for centuries , their is an awe about them .
maybe seeing these 'holy texts' in other formats will put them into perspective.........Just a pile of scrolls and scribbles.
my wife and i are presently interstate house sitting for a freind , and this morning 2 jw`s called unexpectedly of course .
after their introducing themselves.
they offered the invitation to the memmorial which i rejected , then let him present his spiel , nothing has changed by the way .. i had them their for about an hour , i`m on holidays nothing better to do this morning except keep them away from other doors .and of course they were prepared to stay.
i bet it felt good though & that matters xxxx

it is funny how they are trying to give them a revised picture of a scary, evil.... apostate. it has gone from someone who wants to lead people away from true worship in order to redirect worship to a false god, and now become a description of someone who questions or discusses the changes the GB make. Any JW's seeing people who dare to ponder on or question the GB's desicions will ve considered apostate, that never used to be the case. ut it makes sense for them as a cult, if they say apostates want to redirect worship......nobody will recognise that in an 'apostate' because it isn't done.
They are literally taking the organisation underground, more fundemental, further into the darkness and far from normality.
i get quite annoyed at the stupidity of the sheep nowadays, this is obvious mind control...... if they wuestion the leader they are evil.... it is like a bad movie plot! you would sit watching the movie saying "that wouldn't work on humans!" and yet here it is.....
