  It is so obviously a lie......now

  once the spell is broken, one you take a deep fresh breath outisde of the watchtower camp, the amazingly obvious realisation becomes clear.... of course this is a lie, of course this is ridiculous!

  you find you have memories of really believing the claims and promises, but it seems like another life, another experience.

  it seems so incredibly false once you leave and it is very difficult to belive you even once accepted it!

  Smiddy,

  I have started to feel a little different about it all. We have a lot ot answer for too. Think of all those ~16yr olds that left, They were demonised as 'wayward' or 'worldly'. We didn't think for a moment that they had just lost their whole world because they no longer wanted to be JW's.

  I think if those teens that left as heroes now, little brave dudes who were smarter than all of us put together. Tough mother cookies too!

  But they also hold up a mirror to us all....it is an uncomfortablerealisation.... we all kinda knew it was b.s., we all knew there was a spell on our thought processes and we could have worked harder to leave earlier.mThise teens figured it out, even if it was to leave and have some fun!

  Yes shame on the WT society, but also shame on us, on the people that taught it us ......and the quicker people say enough is enough and leave, the better for many. If you have kids in the religion, really there is no reason good enough on earth to keep them in it... get them out before they lose another day.

  Of course I have vid, but make silly comments if you wish, we of course treat patients holistically.

  But we were discussing nomenclature and definitions, with regard to animation and life. Now you have simply sought out a further use of the word spirit, spiritual as in belief system and it's place in medicine.

  Not what we were discussing at all.

  Prologos: because we can work the machinery back to a very simple state. Also we are on the path to explaining the gap between atoms coming from stars and molecules forming in space and that very simple state. It isn't that unbelievable at all. Rule it out if you wish, I see no evidence or reason to.

  As for a god, rule it in as you wish, I see no evidence or reason to.

  About 5,000 years ago the egyptians figured the circumference of the earth using geometry and were performing cataract surgery.

  Now this we can work with.....

  I have studied Medicine for 6 years and never once heard the term 'spirit'.

  Looks like everyone else moved on and nobody sent you a memo.

  As for life and animation, what do you all belive happened when Dr Craig Venter artificially created a living functioning bacterium in a lab?

  It actually came to life and started working as a normal bacteria.

  He has now created synthetic life that manufactures fuel as it's waste product.

  Do you all feel that god is keeping up with Craig's lab work ready to breathe magic into the finished products?

  It is just machinery! That is it! ATP simply spins a turbine in mitochondria, or triggers actin and myosin in muscles... it is a molecule that is easily charged at ATP, and can be recharged from ADP (di being two phosphates, tri being....yeah you get it).

  It is all mechanical...and guess what when it is all brought together, like a fine harley....ok wait, like a fine Honda... it starts to work!

  Why are you adding magic, mystery or woo?..... seriously? It works without it!

  When the machinery breaks down, the mecanism ceases to animate, to live! The ATP in the muscles do not recharge, hence rigamortis! They don't recharge as they have no fuel to add the third phosphate, no air or sugar, they have no air or sugar because the blood has stopped circulating, because the pressure has dropped in thr blood vessels, because the heart has stopped, because the hesrt tissue has failed because the cells are old and deteriorated because the dna used to replicate those cells has deteriorated becase the telomere molecule that protects the dna every time it is copied has deteriorated over 80 years....

  It is all mechanical.....

  of all of the watchtower's many publications dating now to all the way back to russell, which one publication is the most damning in showing they are a complete crachpot of a religion?

  and i course, i mean which original publication before they changed a few words and reprinted!.

  personally, i think it is probably russell's the divine plan of the ages.

  Let's set the scene...... Germany is calling Jews 'Vermin' and genetically impure and the world is eyeing up Germany as fascist fires flare....

  Meanwhile, Watchtower writes a pamphlet for Germany and sends a copy to Hitler himself....
