Does the GB actually believe it all?

do you guys think that the gb actually believes the garbage that they print?

how could they actually believe their new "overlapping generation" doctrine?

wouldn't they have access to anything ever printed and have knowledge of all the false prophecy?

MP - I am basing my opinion off of what Ray Franz indicated while working with these knuckleheads. He basically said that even they refer to the GB as if it is some untouchable/mystical being......seemingly unaware that is was comprised of THEM individually.

And it IS possible to believe your own lies. A good example of this is brought up in the book "Mistakes were made but not by me"

Field Service meetings?

i'm just curious: since the wts did away with book studies in members homes, how does the field service meetings go now?

do people still meet in members homes, or are all fs meetings now at the kingdom hall every day?

or do they now have some other arrangement?.

Around here there are still groups. but instead of meeting every Tuesday night and calling them "book study groups" they meet only Sat AM and call them "service groups"

i was surprised to discover that, when asked directly "why don't you call yourself an agnostic?

I believe the ambiance of "the governing body being God's one and only mouthpiece" forces them to believe their own shit. When they came up with the latest generation teaching.....I am willing to bet that they discussed it thoroughly.....admitting how weak it is. But the final deciding factor was "after all.....God is directing us so this MUST be true".

To answer your question.....I think that they truly believe that God is somehow directing them.....which means that by default.....they HAVE to believe their own concoctions.

New DVD "Become Jehovah's Friend"

it's been a long while since i've posted (i am completely out - wife and kids still in) but thought you might this interesting.. they came home from the district convention yesterday with the new dvd intended for kids.

they popped it in right away and this is what happens:.

Cedars - Because my wife will LOVE this video. She will notice the Pixar type animation and say that it is proof that Jehovah is directing them to make the animation more amusing for kids. She already worships the GB under the pretense that she is "serving Jehovah". She will watch this over and over with my kids until they "understand" that magic is bad and that mindless obedience to the GB is the only thing that God wants from them. This is not something I will be able to keep quiet about. The indoctrination and ability to manipulate a child's mind on a daily basis is just too much. Our marriage is already on the ropes........this can't end well
