  Eldub that get stuck on a word or phrase!

  eldub that get stuck on a word!.

  over the years i have been around a few, that if a "big" or "unusual" word or phrase is used at the assembly or by a co/do, to stress a point.

  then eldub "somebody" will use it at every meeting, if they can find a way to squeeze it into a part or commit.. most of them get over it after a few meetings.

  Classic situation at Circuit Assembly Day

  so i've just skived off to the car park half way through our assembly day - what a classic morning.. i'm sat right behind an early-teen kid with some sort of special needs (autistic?

  ) who's sat with what looks like his late-30's harassed single parent mother.

  What is behind your choice of forum user name?

  just curious how we all think.. what prompted or influenced your choice of username for this forum?.

  there are some really amazing names, and it would be great to hear the stories behind them.... mine was nothing fancy.

  i just felt "stuck in a rut too" along with so many others.

  My user name describes my mental, emotional, and physical condition as a result of 40 years of indoctrination: born in, denied college, pioneered after high school, 10 years MS, 10 years Elder, nu-lite always moving the goal posts further and further away... ruined my physical health with alcohol, emotionally drained, wanting death.

  I was completely BURNED OUT.

  I shared this on fb and soon received a message from a still-in that I should let go of my hate...

  I do not have any hate, only regrets that after graduating high school I was not in college but trying to hand out magazines that no one wanted.

  Another Burnt Out Elder

  young elder(mid-thirties) in my congregation stepped down last night.

  nicest guy, with two lovely kids, a great supportive wife.. it got to be too much, as the other elders are practically useless, let him do all the hard work, while they did all the "important" stuff.

  literally ran him ragged.. he's still in good standing, gave the final prayer.

  After 10 years as a MS followed by 10 years as an Elder, I had a spectacular public burnout. My alcoholism and anxiety put me in the hospital and nearly killed me, other times I wanted to take my own life just to make it all stop.

  Watchtower's yoke is strangling and the load is crushingly heavy...

  I repeatedly asked for less responsibilities, but was not taken seriously until I flipped out right before I was going to start the meeting. THEN they realized I was DONE.
