  Sometimes the outworkings of emotional denial can really be something.

  I can only hope that these anti-conspiracy apologists are on their last legs, rapidly approaching defeat, as the public wakes up and realizes what horrors have been created to keep them in control.

  The War with Iraq really happened. They lied. They killed. They wasted trillions of dollars. They weren't punished. Colin Powell was a big part of the deception. Sorry but that's reality.

  The internet is forcing a degree of transparency on governments that they strongly dislike because it is exposing their lies and control methods.

  I rejoiced greatly when I observed that a war with Syria was stopped. I rejoiced even more when the Senate couldn't get a veto proof majority to sabotage peace talks and start a war with Iran ( Menendez-Kirk bill, denounced by the White House).

  I can dare hope.......indeed I do hope .... that the good guys are winning. Maybe, just maybe the end of the warmongers is in sight.

  I understand your frustration. There is a lot of really awful conspiracy theory stuff out there (see BeforeItsNews) - however, such junk only helps to conceal REAL conspiracies by broadcasting confusion.

  Put yourself in my shoes: I carefully watched live coverage of the Boston Bombing and was coincidentally working with a media company at the time.

  My jaw kept dropping as I observed one lie or inconsistency after another - by public officials. The most glaring (to me) were:

  1) Major networks broadcast live coverage (complete with audible shots) of a "gunbattle" with a young man who had no gun!

  2) The FBI put out posters or photos as if the identities of the two men were unknown. CBS then reported that the mother of the two went ballistic- "you've known and followed my son for five years!"

  3) Despite many photos of an obvious paramilitary group with equipment that appeared at the site just before the bomb went off, the FBI refused to answer questions about them in a live televised interview.

  4) The Sunday NY Times published accusations that the FBI was responsible for most domestic terrorist events by encouraging and setting up people in "sting" operations.

  As for Newtown, I doubt we'll ever know the whole truth.

  Why should it require coordinated genius to create a successful conspiracy if there is no punishment or serious consequence triggered by its discovery?

  How many big bankers have been prosecuted? (PBS answers -none) In Britain, Jimmy Savile evidently molested hundreds of children, across decades while powerful people in the BBC and Scotland Yard knew. How did that happen?

  Is Rumsfeld or Cheney or Bush in jail? Is Bush currently more popular than Obama? Does the public care about a war that wasted the resources that could help them with healthcare or employment or given them a better life?

  In the war in Afghanistan, how many people knew that Afghan leaders (across the police, the army and government) keep boys for sexual purposes? That it is a custom in Afghanistan? Called "bacha"? and that British troops there were disgusted with dealing with it?

  How many Americans even know...... how many students who study history in college know .... that the US may have barely avoided a military coup in the 1930's - as investigated by Congress and attested to by a famous general?

  Suppose Congress passes one of the most complex and lengthy bills in its history that none of them ever bothered to read - while the Speaker of the House tells them to vote for it , "to find out what's in it"?

  The matter is 'upside down' - conspiracies may be the primary product of government.

  One of the reasons why China's rise fascinates me is because they are an experiment that AFAIK has never been tried before.

  Because of purges and turmoil, many or most Chinese leaders are trained engineers. This, to me, suggests a different, practical mindset unlike politics elsewhere. The job of governance is a job of fixing problems, often by technology. It may also allow for taking 'the long view' unlike things elsewhere.

  It's interesting to watch. The US will continue to hit with surprises from China.

  If The Organization Was A Country, Then.......?

  a different way to look at the organization.. suppose that the organization was a country of 8 million or so.

  given that jw's believe that god will one day slaughter everyone else and leave them to inherit the globe, this is a fair matter to think about.. would "watchtowerland" be a theocracy..... like iran?.

  would it be ruled by a group of old men........like the former soviet union?.

  Well, atheism seems to be growing but I don't know if the hostility expressed about the Bible/Jesus is really a cause of a general decline. You can disbelieve in something without hating it or even feeling strongly negative. You just say, 'this doesn't work for me' and let it go. I don't comprehend the sort of 'evangelical zeal' that some people have against Christianity in general. Watchtowerism,........well, that's different!

  OTOH, maybe the internet is changing our culture so as to demand transparency and results. Less pie in the sky and empty promises.

  Would it have public executions..... like North Korea or Saudi Arabia?

  Would women have few if any rights ......like Pakistan or Afghanistan?

  Would its economy be overrun with corruption based on cronyism ......like Nigeria?

  Would its workers be poorly productive, "just putting in time" .... like former Communist nations?

  Would its children be subject to sexual abuse, concealed by old men......like the Vatican?

  Would it claim to be progressing simply because it had a growing population/publishers ..... like much of Africa?

  Would it try to suppress or punish 'defectors'....... like North Korea?

  That one point about 'growth' is especially important - why should population growth in a nation mean that the nation is progressing? Is that true of most poor nations you are familiar with? Does progress mean something more than just 'more people'?

  In summary, I conclude this: If WatchtowerLand was a country, I wouldn't want to live there - and more and more people seem to feel the same way.
