Walking a thin line - Resigning Elder

i feel like i need to vent my story out, as i feel quite helpless at the moment.. i'm 31 year old, married, father of toddler with another one on the way, due later this month.
i've been serving as elder for about 4 years now in a south florida congregation.

Pandora's Box is now open!
by pandorasbox1914 inhi everyone, i have been lurking for some time now and decided to open the box (hence pandora).
about a year ago i became aware of child abuse within the org, out of curiosity (just like pandora) i opened the box and the evils have been pouring out ever since regarding the org.
anyway, this came to a head last summer with the arc.

I have struggled with relating my experiences (of 32yrs.) On this forum, so didn't. You have written it for me. I went cold turkey in April.
Live your life now how you want. You come across as a strong person.

Thanks for this AFRIKANMAN. Didn't know where to go with how I feel. So came here to just put down that I'm sad! This site has been important for me this past year. David Bowie was part of the fabric of my life from the late 60's. So it made sense to me. Interesting factoid I discovered today - David Bowie was born on Elvis Presley's birthday. -

by umbertoecho inhello people.. i'm tired and a bit sick at the moment but i can't let anyone think that this is going to go away.... i am able to tell you a few things in order to prevent any confusion in the minds of those who are thinking that nothing will come of this arc;that nothing will effect the wtbts in america and other places.. i have been there and given my testimony.
helen milroy and her assistants were there along with another group of people who are there to lend assistance if you crack up at any time during or after the hearing.
i did not crack up but can see how this happens.. security is tight and anonymity is sacred to them as they want to protect all who come forward.

Dear sweet Umberto your dignity in the face of this is motivating. The actions of the scumbags (not even going to dignify them with a title) cements my decision to fade stronger!
Please be assured that this report from the ARC is having repercussions here in the UK. I'm aware first hand that there is dissent/arguements about lack of direction from the platform/a study quitting when they found out/elder's wife speaking confidently amongst r&f about this terrible situation. I've walked. My 33yr old baptised child is on the verge of DA.
In my family the reputation of JW's leave a lot to be desired

I would add the opposite of knowledge is ignorance......whether through choice or circumstances.
The opposite of love is indifference. Hate is a destructive emotion.
You didn't deserve "bollocks" as a response.
I wouldn't like any association with WBTS on my grave stone. 32yrs association was enough thank you very much.
